If you instal 191 to the device and then wipe, and then if you go to install 140, loader will ask you whether you want to downgrade. A wipe does not delete all of the core apps from the device (otherwise, you would have no screen).

However, and I cannot emphasize this enough, I DO NOT KNOW WHAT I AM DOING. I am haphazardly synthesizing ideas and findings of my own with those of others.

Hi Louwiid,

Essentially, if you have 140 already loaded, all you have to do is swap the sfi file for 191and then use loader. That should achieve the same thing. This seems to be the 191 radio with the 140 javas, correct?

anybody got a working link for .140? I wanna try this but I have tried downloading .140 from this site twice and when I go to unzip it says its unknown or damaged

If you want flick scrolling, I believe you need to load 191 first and then remove 191 and load 140. Otherwise, this is essentially 140 Java with 191 sfi.

I suppose you could also load 191 and the overwrite the 140 Java into the 191 Java folder.

Please let me know if you try either of the above variants. I would be interested to see how those work.

RIM has sent cease and desist letters to sites such as BBOS with respect to 140, 191 and BBM 5. You may want to search megaupload or rapidshare.

I have been saving OS files to SD cards as soon as they are leaked for this reason.

My Gynecologist is correct! Shrink doesn't like .191... I spent all weekend tearing 191 apart with no success... Lou has found the only way that I know of to get shrink to work. If trying to just swap the radio is the way you want to go... then you lose the flickscroll and the ability to shrink... I tried that also! Like I said, the Doc has the only way I know of to make this work! :fing02:

I keep receiving an error 300 message for the application. I have followed the directions exactly. I am replacing the 140 radio w/ 190 radio is that correct? or do I leave them in the CDMA folder together?

Ive got app error 200...cant do a damn thing on my phone..

Copy the 191 sfi from your saved location (hard drive). Open the 140 CDMA folder. Paste the 191 sfi into the CDMA folder. Click "YES" when asked to replace.

I am stuck then....I've have done this 3 times....guess I am not Doctor enough to complete this easy process.

when i tried i got error 200 reset did i do something wrong cause i followed the directions down to a t

I have copied the .sfi from 191 and pasted it into the 140 CDMA folder okay. Now when i run app loader it does not see anything and i have deleted the Vendor file. Any ideas?

well mine is working now...even tho i was late for work cuz of this lol..i just need to put bbm 5.0 back on now

Remember, this could be a case of device differences, as stupid as that may be.

Did you super-wipe before starting? I did a wipe and device reset via BBSAK before the first load of 191.
