Here is my Shrink-A-OS tool. It was made mainly for the 9530/9500, but it now will work on most other Blackberry devices.
You can always download the latest version at:
.ZIP .RAR or (EXE Only)<-[5.0 Files/Addding Languages won't work]
Current Version: V3.6

Instructions:
- Run Shrink-A-OS.exe from anywhere. (Vista/7 Users: Run as Admin)
- Browse for your most current OS install folder (not the Java or CDMA) OR place the Shrink-A-OS.exe in your CUrrent OS install folder
[For most users, it's in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\]
[For 64-bit users, it's in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\]
- Select what options you would like to remove.
- Click Shrink My OS!
- Launch Loader.exe to update your phone

~*NOTE: 5.0Files.cod/hebrew.cod/simpchinese.cod/tradchinese.cod must be in the same folder as Shrink-A-OS.exe for the Add 5.0 and add language features to work!*~

To Add A Language: Check the box beside the one(s) you want to add and click Shrink My OS. Make syre the files listed above are in the same folder as Shrink-A-OS.exe.

In your list #3, what un-needed files are you deleting? What did your available start at after the first battery pull and where are you at now?

Forgive my ignorance but how do you work this .rar file? Does it install on your pc?

rar is the same as zip, you have to unzip it after you download it

How do I associate it with something that unzips apps?

Has anyone tried this yet? It seems like a great idea, but I wanna know more before I try it. How do I leave facebook alone if I use this app?

If you're asking what can you use to extract the rar file, the answer is Winrar.

7-zip will extract the rar file too. and 7z is free, winrar is not

Do not delete the "RemovedFiles" folder until you are sure that you have deleted everything you want to remove.

Option 21 will only work if ShrinkIt.bat is in your Java folder within your OS install folder.
