Where r u now?

Should I delete the files in my Java folder that I know i want gone or is that to risky?

copy and paste all the Shrink OS files into the JAva loader and RUN it from there. Then choose whatever you want to remove, and press SHRINK MY OS ... 2 or 3 times so that it removes. You will see the files that will shrink if you have the Java open infront if you. Then use the loader by lauching it from the Srink OS app

Got it. It said I didn't need to update anything then I hit finish and now they are being removed. I am stoked!

I know where I screwed up. I just put the whole folder in Java. I needed to copy and paste them out of the Shrink a OS folder straight into the Java folder.

Shoot. I have everything off except the IM's. I do not use any IM is there a reason it wont delete them?

no they should be gone. but if you dont want the Im's then go to loader and remove from there or just use the DM to uncheck and unisntall first then you can run the SHrink my OS will move the COD files and ALX

Got OTA off. Now just IM's and Setup Wizard are left and it will not delete them. Oh well. Not a huge deal

I just have the Icons for all the IM's. I hide them but I dont use them and wold like them off. I think I can find them in the Java file and delete them. Seems risky though

no dont do that !!! just do the above that i told u first then use the Shrink

Not sure what you mean by Loader files

For some people IM apps are a Service Book from their provider and so even if it is removed, it will return next batt pull. Essentially they are just links to the OTA, not the actually application itself

DO a batt pull then run the shrink again from the java folder... make sure if the firewall comes up and asks you if you want to give access

I love the bigger suretype keyboard and the extra memory! little battery leak but working great 5 hours later

Switched to the new BBcrackman v3.5 no problems works great! After dong the os shrink i have 53mb free never had that kinda free memory b4! WOW:beerchug:

I am having the same problem that Pain is having, as far as the IMs go. I used the shrink and they were gone on the initial load of my os but after every battery pull they come back and I have to delete them through service book in options. Maybe it is something with VZ though because I noticed Pain and I are on VZ and bmerdinian is on Telus..????

Update-I get everything to be removed that I needed. have noticed that in my IM there are still the icons for the 4 IM's, however they are just links that take up very little space. The only way to get rid of them is to delete them from the service books area in options. However, after battery pull they are right back in the service books. I figure it is a Storm hardware deal and they will never be off so I am leaving them alone.

Hope this helps. The "Shrink A OS" works great and I recommend it to everyone.

updated to V1.3.7 - Auto-deletes Vendor.xml now when you click Shrink for easy install, Asian and Russian languages are now keepable
