Thread: GPS not working in v8.5

I can't seem to get the gps to work now. It searches for sat. in bb maps but never locates them. Any ideas? It worked fine before I tried v8.5. Everything else is great.

I would try a couple 1 minute battery pulls to help the OS settle in. If you are having the same problem, but weren't before you may just need to do a reinstall of v8.5.

Which carrier do you use?

GPS is working fine for me on v8.5, both in BB Maps and Google Maps. I'm on Verizon.

I am on verison. I have done several Bat pulls. What gets me is that it worked to begin with, I installed blackstar and that worked once and now it won't find a satilite.

Location On is turned on right?

Don't take this wrong way as I have got to ask but have you tried acquiring the satellite outside?

Not taken thewrong way. I have tried getting a sat fix outside and still no go. I just downloaded google maps and it works fine, but not bb maps or blackstar.

Hmm the only think I can think of (just to cover all basis) is to delete BB maps off your phone and then use app loader to reinstall it, and see if that fixes the issue. Not sure on Blackstar since I have never used it
