Thread: Is there a 3G fix for OS 5.0 UK Vodafone?

i have been reading that there are peeps on vodafone runing 5.0 and not gettiing 3g conection issues i cant run any version ie 140 154. hybrid on it only on gprs which is useless to me i only get 1 bar or sos. I tasted the hybrid got flick scrolling works perfect but i just realy dont want to give it up.
on 3g sent service books =nothing
on 3g register host routing msg sent = nothing
on 2g they recieve but still dont work on the 3g network
on any other os i get full bars and the 3g bb icon only diffrence it works


i have tryed chaging between .140 .154 and .92 radio files with shrink-a-os

any feedback would be most welcome

I believe we had spoken about this before and I am still unsure what the fix would be. I am looking around for answer though.

cheers bud i thought mabe stick the post some were that more eyes would see it . perhaps there others that might of had the same trouble and resolved it

Go to options > mobile network > and make sure it is set to 2G & 3G. Just a stab in the dark.

lol thats what i have been doin wrong

nah seriously i always have 3g & 2g as my setting think it may be the default.
i get full bars and the logo but no result unless i put it to 2g only
even the diagnostics test fails .

thanks for the feed back tho mate its still 1 step forward

i got it working for 5 mins when i went to applications and set the core permitions to allow but that was it 5 mins of excitment i litiraly jumped out of seat and punched the air dumbass i no

im begining to wander if its just my handset or the os as other dont have the same trouble i dont want to claim insurance for another if its not handset.
like i say i realy want this .

Use Lyricidals 6V10 which has no flaws at all . All radio and internet /GPS apps work well. Why bother using the Os 5.0.0.xxx systems which are known to be problematic.
My Storm 9500 with Lyricidal 6V10 worked well in the UK with international roaming.
This Os has a good number of Os 5.0 features without the issues associated with it.It`m on Voda South Africa.

Don't think iv tried that 1yet ill give it a bash I was on 7v10 didn't like it
and I'm getting some pretty nasty typing lag just now on Gabriels 3,5

I believe the problem is on the OS so there isn't any fix until next 9500 OS 5 leaks.

I find that mine connects ok on 5.0.0.154, registers within seconds BUT the OS is slow slow and freezes all the time that I can't run it.

I mentioned in Gabriels Hybrid thread that it would be good to see his hybrid feature the 9500 .154 radio. Then we can have all the features and 3G that works with the BB network

Os 5.0.0.216 sorts this out nicely.
