NO U NEED TO USE THE 140 AS BASE .u can use 154 thats what im doing. and theres a installer in the op. 154 http://www.bbhybrids.net/e107_files/...-5.0.0.154.exe

Just wanted to make sure the installer in the OP had been updated. Does it still contain the backup file for the flick scrolling?

yup, it does installing hybrid over .154 base now. let's see what happens :Eyecrazy:

hMMMmm, weird in about it still shows v5.0.0.140 (platform 4.2.0.17) as my OS instead of .154. Restoring everything now will repost findings

I downloaded the installer from the first post in the OP and it is the same as the one I had downloaded before. Are we sure the following link is correct?

about shows .140, still many .154 files in modules though. guessing the hybrid makes it show .140 or something.. seems exactly the same as it was before though. camera/video camera works etc. scrolling is good everywhere except for messages/sms. down works like it's on crack, and up doesn't exactly work too well.. unless i did something wrong. i'd say don't bother changing it to .154 base seems the same.

just a fyi YHE INSTALLER WILL CONVERT YOUR PHONE TO 154 ALREADY YOUR PHONE SHOULD READ 5.0.140-_P4.2.0.21 21 IS THE 154 RADIO

That was my concern. The file I downloaded seems to be the same as before!!

That is probably one of the biggest feed backs that needs to be addressed. The down "works like it's on crack" and the up does not work well at all! Those issues need to be addressed and fixed for this hybrid to be useable.

We do 154, Installer, Shrink! Wipe phone and then run loader. Correct?

NO YOU DONT NEED TO INSTALL .191 ANYMORE. The flick backup that comes with the hybrid will take care of that for you. Just install .140 or .154 I don't think it matters. Shrink -> Wipe -> Install -> Enjoy and tolerate the crazy flick scrolling in sms/messages for now just use the arrow keys it's not all that bad. everything else is orgasmic.

Can I assume we can use BBM 5.0 with this hybrid since it is not 191?
