Taken for the Text file after extracting.
If you are reading this, the file has already been extracted

    1. Download and install the .113.exe OS

    2. Rt click on extracted file 9500-v4.7.0.113_P4.0.0.144 and copy

    3. Go to Loader Files (C:/ program files/ common files/ research in motion/ shared/ loader files/ )

rt click and paste, yes to overwrite

    4. Up 2 levels to C:/ program files/ common files/ research in motion/ apploader/ delete vendor.xml

    5. Same folder double click Loader.exe (looks like a phone)

    6. Yes to downgrade

    7. Back Up

    8. Choose your apps you want installed

    9. Verify installation

    10. Finish

The only bit I added is in red. Does this help as i loaded this today with out any issues

    HELP...HELP....HELP...

I'm using storm 9500 - with .113 installed from the official link.

I'm now updating with V1. everything went well, successfully loading the application until to the part "Wait for device initialization", then there is a message in my BB says "APP ERROR 235" and "reset".

Everything stop. what should I do now? waiting for the guidance from all the guru.

highly appreciated for the super prompt response

    regards....

    Eddy

Id actually kill the loader program and then run DM...DM manager will try to synchronise and pick up there has been an error and hopefully restart your upgrade...

If not, use JL Cmder to wipe your blackberry and restart your install process.

Hope you made a back up....if not you will have sadly lost everything custom to you...

hahah. I thought I got banned or something because I couldn't find my post, then I read that notice. Should of made a backup of the file, and the DB. Hahah how ironic.

Anyway as I posted before - The installation went very smoothly. Did a batt pull (that sounds so dirty) after the installation, turned it back on and everything was there. Didn't even need to send service books..

Also, you guys know a lot about BB - so do you have any idea on when BB app world will be available to people outside of USA and Canada?

RIM and it's infinite wisdom has only launched App World to only a select number of countries such as US, Canada and I believe UK. To be sure check with your service provider for more details.

    3. do we have to Wipe out everything or just "upgrade" from .113 to .114 to V1?

really appreciate the answer. I would really like to optimize my storm
Some people believe in completely wiping he phone. In my case I istalled the 113 Os, copy and pasted the V1 files and installed to the phone via Loader.exe
Results are great !!! No issues at all.

Wiping is of course optional. I do it out of habit and because I get the best results this way. But by no mean is it mandatory. Glad to hear you are up and running and enjoying it.
