This version's better than all I've tested before! Really quick reaction, lots of memory left!

    Great work, bbcrackman!

I used a Nokia E71 for a while and while it looked nice the UI was a pain in the butt. But that was my only real experience with them. Anyway hope you're enjoying the new OS.

Sorry I'm still new to BB storm. I update my firmware to .113 from the forum link to official BB OS. Works very well compared to the previous firmware.

What is the "Hybrid" version? study the video to install this hybrid version, looks a bit "challenging".

If I fail to upgrade with this hybrid, can I go back and re-install the .113?

    thanks to all

Yes Eddy, you can always go back to .113 if you don't like it. As for the hybrid, If you have any problems, just ask. There are lots of people here to help with any problem you run into

my Storm firmware is .113 downloaded from the official link. it says:
    v.4.7.0.113 platform 4.0.0.144

do I still need to install 9500 hybrid v1? I downloaded the Hybrid V1, and the file name says :
    9500-V4.7.0.113-P4.0.0.144
Looks like the same with what I have installed on my device??.

Sorry for keep asking, because I want to optimize my storm yet I want to be very careful in upgrading the firmware....

    thanks

The files do look the same but they are different. Download hybrid v1 then copy and paste these into 113. Hope this helps.

Thank you all for the great work. It is so fast. I had 114 before, but this is so much better.
Did not come right the first time and killed the berry, but the second time without the battery installed like a charm. Maybe it was Windows 7 fault.

    Thanks again. It?s amazing.

Need to clarify. when you say "cut and paste", does it mean I run the V1 just like when I upgrade from .86 to .113?

thanks a lot....I am dying to upgrade

so I use 9500 with .113, can upgrade directly to V1 or need to upgrade to .114 first....then go to V1 ??

can you paste the link for the .114 if I need to upgrade to .114

I'm using storm 9500 - with .113 installed from the official link.

I'm now updating with V1. everything went well, successfully loading the application until to the part "Wait for device initialization", then there is a message in my BB says "APP ERROR 523" and "reset".

Everything stop. what should I do now? waiting for the guidance from all the guru.

highly appreciated for the super prompt response

    regards....
