Thread: Lyricidal Beta6 Hybrids - Version comparisons

There are still quite a few of us that haven't made the leap to 5.0.0.191, believe it or not

And a lot of us are running Lyricidal's hybrids. Personally i just upgraded to v10 with the 191 files in it.
I'm interested to hear what differences you have noticed in the different versions. Particularly since v8 (which seems so long ago now).

Does v10 have flick scrolling?

No it doesn't. But I'm quite happy with Berry Scroll.

I really like beta6vxx. 8,8.5,9 and now 10. I don't really notice any big difference between them, but they are all very stable...very reliable.

The big difference I'm noticing with v10 over v9 is battery life. It doesn't drain at all like v9 did. Memory is stable, but all the versions have been great on memory.

I have been SocialScope quite a bit since I installed v10 and with v9 my battery would be draining. On v10 its holding steady.

where do i get these files you speak of?

I just upgraded B6V10, it is the best right now!!! That is a distinction!

How do you install 6v10? do you just install it over .191 and your done? is it possible to go from .191 to .140 to get the scrolling feature to stay and then from .140 to 6v10?

S1: Download Java file to you PC and unzip it
S2: Install OS official .151
Copy all Java file (in S1) and paste over to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.0.151_P4.0.0.186\Java
S3: Using Loader.exe to install as nomal

If you go look at the applications on your BB (options > Advanced > apps), then view the modules, you should see a mix of versions.

I'll see a bunch of 191 files in there. v10 is the only one with these files.
