Well now that im back... i have one (more) hopefully simple question...
I want to try out 5.0...
I dont care bout BBM... I MUST have camera.. and i WANT flick scrolling.
Most used apps are Weatherbug, Youmail VVM, FB, Myspace,and youtube...

Is this 191 revert to 140, my best bet for what i want?

Your best bet is to:
1) Install 191 on PC
2) Install 191 on Your Phone
3) Delete 191 Off your PC, but NOT your phone
4) Install 141
5) Install 141 on your phone

Ths will allow for bbm5 (which does not matter), you will have a camera, flick scrolling, weatherbug gave me some issues, youmail is good, vvm is good, myspace and you tube I do not use so I am unsure.

When you install 141 on phone do you downgrade or leave the same?

LMAO...I see what happened. Instead of 5.0.0.140, i installed 4.7.0.141! Have no clue as to why i did that. Must be the beer. BTW, where did i put that bottle?

Just make sure, as I experienced this morning, that if you have .151 on your phone and you backup your data, you don't restore THAT data as it will prevent you from keeping flick-scroll. I assume that you should wipe, load .191, restore data, perform NEW backup, and then load .140 onto phone. Please confirm if that is correct, as I plan to try that tonight. Thanks

3)Install 191 onto your phone
4)Erase 191 off of your computer (not your phone)
5)Install 140 onto your computer
6)Install 140 onto your phone

This requires no wipes and will actually give you flick scrolling. I hope that this will help you out. It is a little time consuming, but it is better that you have a working phone then not one at all. It will be just like your 140. Camera/video will work, BBM5 will work. You will also have the same theme issues and all the other glitches that may come with the 140 build, but I am hoping that this will help you out.

It is a little touchy. I am currently running 191 straight, but have ran 140 with the flick. I would still go with the flick scroll over no flick scroll, it makes life a lot easier.

Sean I tried this last night as we discussed via PM, my Storm is working better. The flick scrolling was working when I initially downgraded to .140 but once I performed the back-up it seems to no longer be there. Any suggestions? thanks for all your help. :hail:

I would pull pull pull that battery. The flick scrolling should not go anywhere.

To be honest I am not sure. Flick scrolling was a part of 140, but just not activated. So when you downgrade from 191 flick scrolling becomes active on the 140. That is why I do not understand why your flick scrolling has stopped. Each phone reacts differently, because each phone is different. You can try the process again and see if it works, which would be your best bet. Backing up has nothing to do with flick scrolling. All you are doing is downgrading your phone with everything on it.
