hey bro bbm 5.0 dont work with .191, so far stick with 4.7 after someone find a fix for it

5.0 doesn't work with 191 however 4.7 does

Well said. Everything works, flawlessly, except camera. Battery life improvement is impressive. I can't wait for an official 5.0 release (I know it will be a while).

Well: I fixed the charge indicator by

replacing: net_rim_bb_clock.cod with the one from .191 and the charge indicator comes back.

Weird. Wonder if you guys use an older .cod file if you will get yours back. Anyone want to try it?

ok.....been using the leak for two days and some things I noticed......camera side key gives the appearance it will open with the regular buttons on the bottom in landscape mode then resets...but in portrait the button pulls up an all white screen with an error message I guess much like everyone else is seeing..... the leak is super fast and smooth but initially my rhapsody gave an error now its working like clockwork.....quickpull tried to work with compatibility turned on then crashed so I deleted it(free version) If app world is installed it doesn't show up anywhere...there is no music icon in the media section....all these things I can live with but the one that really bugs me for now is my weather bug elite....it shows the weather if I click it but it doesn't show on the tool bar just an empty thermometer and the bug symbol on the home screen where my update should be....In my work coming and going I need the weather updates on the home screen as a convience so I don't have to wait for it to load and I can adjust my schedule as need for upcoming weather.....any fixes or programs confirmed to update the home screen as well.....I would like to get it working as I have already paid for it .......also does anyone know if the automatic time zone correction does indeed work ....I have it turned on but haven't went out off town to check it yet. Thanks for all the help in advance

Has anyone experienced a glitch where you randomly unlock your phone and when you press the BB button to bring up the list of all your icons they have been changed from rows of 4 to rows of 3 automatically. Have experienced this many times with .191 has any1 else and if so does anyone know how to fix this?

Hi I'm currently running v.4.7.0.148 from the official release and I'm sort of tired of it acting up. It's lagging glitchy and from what I've been reading this new leak works well (aside from the camera and BBM 5.0 which I guess I'm willing to sacrifice for a while until Lyric or BBC get a out hybrid).

I'm just worried that I'll mess my phone up if I do something wrong so can anybody give me like step by step instructions (with graphics would be nice).

With the current version I'm running my phone takes almost 10 minutes to boot up after a battery pull which is very frustrating when my friends all of a sudden think I'm ignoring there messages. :aargh4:

Last I checked my memory was like 8MB...it may have been 5MB...I don't recall. But I understand from earlier posts that that's like a danger zone. :bigeyes:

Losing 5.0 Messenger will suck but I can deal with 4.7 until an updated version is released/leaked (if that happens again).

I use Gmail and my verizon blackberry email and I've read that some people are having issues with getting those to work. :no: which isn't good. I also don't have my contacts back up anywhere else but on my phone which i know is stupid of me so is there something that I can use to back those up that is free? I don't really like to use the DM because it lags on my computer.

I would greatly appriciate the help of anybody

And I was just wondering about the camera, I know that on .148 you can access the video camera from the camera when you click the BB button and then select video camera, can you do the same just in reverse to get an operational camera or has anybody tried this?

When i got done loading, my clock was set to some random time, and then i got a popup saying "mountain time zone detected, update clock"? so im guessing that yes, it works. as far as weatherbug i cant help you there. i just use the temperature thing built into quicklaunch 2.0

neither of the cameras work. so no. as far as visual voice mail, you can re download it from a ota link, i dont have it but i have seen it in this thread.
as far as instructions, read the instructions for any of the pre-released OS or hybrids, (the hybrids require a few extra steps in some cases) but honestly it is not hard.

step 1 download and install 5.0.0.191
step 2 search your c: drive for vendor.xml and delete it.
step 3 in the same folder vendor.xml is in, is a file called loader.exe (search for it if needed)
step 4 plug in your storm
step 5 run loader.exe and follow the wizard.

I tried swapping the 191 .cod with 154.......no luck! Didn't want to try 140 as there was already an issue with it's clock.

I load the backup fist thing after the new OS is put on. When I open desktop manager and it starts to sync I cancel it. When it checks for software updates I cancel it. Then I go and restore my backup then I put my 3rd party apps back on and then I sync the contacts and calendar...

This is the best OS bay far! My phone has been on for the last 24 hours with no resets or battery pulls and it's actually had an increase in app memory. It booted up with 42MB and it now has 43MB. It's quick! It has threaded SMS! It has flick scrolling! This is really the way the phone should have been! The only drawback is the camera but I can suffer through it!
