Thread: 9530 OS 5.0.0.191 Findings and Fixes #2

Wayne I am not on my laptop where i have the full os, if you can post up the .191 camera.cod, maybe thats the problem i put the .190 in there to try

I think we have a few members now working on the camera issue as we speak.

ok even bbsak says .190 so i deleted it period, and am going to try installing it with out one on the phone

I loaded this last night, and am a bit disappointed. Woke this morning and my storm was in it's charger...locked!! Battery pull, and it came back up, but, some more apps don't seem to work. BerryWeather won't show the icon on theme...just an "umbrella". If I hold down BB key it shows 2 apps of berryweather running. Deleted BerryWeather, and reinstalled, and still screwy.

I'm wiping and reinstalling OS, but I don't know if this is gonna be worth it to me if it's doesn't fix. We'll see....:irked:

I noticed the 2 weathers for berry weather too, I think some of the themes even though they work need to be revamped for this os, they dont line up quite right.

BRB i gotta get the lap top, it will not load on this pc

I dont get where 190 is coming from... I took CAM COD from "9530AllLang_v5.0.0.140_P4.2.0.17" and edit it with HEX Editor so all values that say "140" are now "191" and then saved that file... all you should have to do is put the COD inside "9530AMEA_v5.0.0.191_P4.2.0.43"

Orio I was having the same issue BW and here is what I found. First delete it off your phone. Go to Mobihand and download the the trial version for the Storm, then if require enter your activation code. This now allows me to see radar amongst other things.

To get the weather to show on your homescreen. Move the position of the BW to a position which does not show up on your home screen. The move it back to weather spot. You should know see the temp. Hope that helps

I suggest SimpleWeather by DMG, granted its a couple bucks.. It never fails

just an fyi i have 2 storms. so anything you want to try i got my backup we are experimenting on

That's a great little weather app.

It sounds like someone is going to have a break thru real soon, so I guess for now I am just going to hold tight for a few of these fixes.........

I am using BBSAK to drop the cod in without a full install

I just opened up the SFI file in hex and noticed the release date or when it was made ... "Aug 15 2009.19: 09 :02....RIM BlackBerry Device"

This may be the Break Thru

14o's release date was "Jun 30 2009.20: 46:09....RIM BlackBerry"

ok give me a few more BBSAK and crackutil will NOT drop this cod in i am going to go through apploader

Simple Weather does not update as well with 5.0.0.191.

It will show the hi/lo tempreture but it will not give the status icon. It will only say Updating Data with a Sun Icon.

do what yah gotta do in the meantime im runnin throught he .sfi to see if i dont see anything pokin out...
