Thread: 5.0.0.191 Storm Flick Scrolling

For the longest time Storm users have been complaining how there is no flick scrolling on the Storm. Any touch screen phone should come with flick scrolling. Last week BellShare released an application called BerryScroll . Soon after there were rumors that RIM would be implementing flick scrolling into their future 5.0 builds. After installing the 5.0.0.191 onto the Storm, the first thing I did was to check for flick scrolling. To my surprise, RIM has done this. .191 does indeed have flick scrolling. Not only for their browser but also works in the contacts and messaging. Tomorrow I will put up a few screen shots with a mini review as we did with the Tour. Learning from the Tour I have some 'bugs' to be on the look out for and to really not only focus on the good but also make every one aware of the bugs.

This looks great. You said you installed this. Are you running it on a 9530?

Yep it's running on a 9530. The flick scrolling works in every app, menu, etc. RIM did a good job with this.

Yep this is real, for the 9530 though.

lol, I have been waiting for flick scrolling since I saw it on the iPhone.

I honestly thought it would come on the phone day one. But better late than never!!!

I hear flicking scrolling is super nice and people are getting flick-addicted! . I sure can't wait!!!
