I ran ver 7.99B for 24 hours and my memory stayed stable the best of any I have had on my phone. I installed 7.99 with the 132 radio a couple hours ago and have been testing out the Slacker issue. So far Slacker has been doing fine. I am seeing more memory loss in this than in the "B" version. I will monitor the memory more closely after I see that the locking up in Slacker has been resolved and report back.

I really think 7.99B with the 151 radio is a winner if you don't care about the Slacker/Pandora issues.:hail:

I assume you will post when it is available and update the link on the first page. Thanks for all the work. V7.99B sure looked good while I was running it. I have some friends I need to update with the 132 version. Any idea what time on the update!

Been running 7.99b for almost 24 hours. Running good. Down to 49 megs from 50. High utilization on my half. Few spinning clocks. Softreset doesn't work. No random reboots

I agree it is a very nice system, and well put together, but like I said for some reason it drained my memory bad (V.b/.151)

I ran Slacker a couple hours with no issues. The memory leak is pretty good on the 132 version. It is dropped 12MB in a couple hours with moderate use. V7.99B was solid on the memory!

Usually for battery/ memory fluctuations you need to give it about 48 hours to settle in. That's a general rule of thumb for hybrids.

I gotcha back, Randy! I have been running V7.99 with .151 radio for 2 days and my memory and battery life have balanced out. My first day, memory started at 49.6mb and dropped to low 30's, but today after a 1.5hr gym session, my memory is holding strong in upper 40's. The battery life since 6am start at 100% is still at 82% after 6hrs. So, I agree with Randy, give it 48-72hours to settle in.

Hi, Randy, I install the 7.99b last night, so far so good, except one issue, sometimes the backlight don't dim automatically (it will light all the time) and I have to pull battery out to dim it. Do you know why and how to fix it? Thanks
