5.0.0.140 Themes and Notifications Fix
I must preface this by saying about 92.85% of the credit to this fix goes to our very own Catstide.
So here is the unofficial, official workaround to getting audible notifications on 5.0.0.140 using custom themes.
1. If you are using BerryBuzz delete it.
2. Download and install BB Alerts (there is a 14 day trial period for this app)
3. Check your Downloads folder and their BB Alerts should be.
4. Open the app and make sure the following settings are in place:
Audio Type: Audio
Alert Repeat Frequency: 1 minute. Instead of getting your email/sms notifications immediately there will be a one minute delay
Check the rest that apply to you.
With this installed you will now be able to get your email/sms audible alerts.
One last thing to double check. Go into your sound profiles and make sure it is set to normal (or whatever you want it to be). This will ensure the rest of your alerts like ringer, BBM, etc come through. Sometime BB Alerts will set these to silent so just make sure they are set up correctly.
And that's it. Then go ahead and load up your favorite theme and enjoy.
