Thread: What OS are you running?

What OS are you running and what do you like about it and what do you hate about it?

I'm running .109 Hybrid

Pros:
-the accelerometer, app loading, menu loading, etc. are all really improved (imo)
-Reboots have decreased in time (very good)
-Typing has gotten ...ehh better i guess (much better if you load the keyboard .rar file)
-imho, i don't know why so many people are experiencing such devastating memory leaks, but since I've upgraded I've had a steady 40 mb...not to lie, the most it has dropped to was 36.6...which imo is not much at all

Cons:
-if you don't load the keyboard .rar file (really sfl or whatever) the lag of typing really gets to you (not so bad though)
-idk if it is the phones fault, or satellite allignment, but blackberry maps, as well as google maps takes FOREVER to find a satellite to work off of...

....kinda wierd but thats all i find wrong with this OS....im glad for that! lol

I have about 15 storms in the 'fleet'

- 7 are on 109, 1 on 103 and the rest are 75.

-keyboard speed is great.
-overall performance is fantastic.
-the full keyboard in portrait was a huge win.
-the camera is absolutely usable now.

I have had two storms get very warm (i dare say hot) and drain the battery in a little less than 2 hours with no use. wiping and reloading fixed both times, but i have no real answer as to why they did that...the others are still working without a hitch.

I'm running .86 wasn't to sure about leaked os but after a week with .75 I was fed up.
Storm is a great phone just felt rushed. I broke down installed .86 couldn't be happier.
If u like the storm the way it is just whish it was more polished and useable .86 is for u.
Install was very simple and pretty fast using old pc with xp and old style usb no problems.
Thanks blackberry os first time blackberry owner and thanks to u feature one as well.

I haven't tried .109 have read others had issues with color key board and mms wanted to clear up problems not cause more. .86 is very stable for me do you think the improvements in .109 are worth the pontetial problems? Have u had any of the issues I mentioned?

All those issues can easily be fixed though.

Ill probly give it a try I've got it downloaded. What els do I need to clear up any known problems with .109

Tried .109 didn't see any improvements other than ful. Key board in portrait cam color was off mem leak bad and couldn't hide pics goingback to .86 some times to much isto much people just like messing whit this thing

You can try .114 now.
