Can anyone tell me which one is better. The are both really good and can not decide which one to install.

I would encourage trying one for about a week, so you get the real feel and then try the other for accurate comparison. It's more about how your storm accepts one or the other![]()
That is a difficult question good sir. I've only tried the V8 and have been very impressed with it, closest thing to 5.0 that I have scene. I do run 5.0 right now. Lyric is known for a great hybrid as well. I have not had the opportunity to run it. You may want to try both out and make the judgement for yourself.

wakko - from everything I have learned (and trust me it isn't that much), only you can decide which one is best for you and your BB. Each BB reacts differently to each hybrid. I have run both and have found pros/cons with each. Best thing to do would be to d/l one run it for awhile, then wipe and d/l another one and compare your results.
Welcome to BBOS!
That is a very difficult question to answer objectively. The reason is because each Storm has a personality of it's own. So what might work for you may not for me. The real answer is which of the two will work best on your phone. Both BBC and Lyric make excellent hybrids it almost like comparing a BMW to a Mercedes. I like BBC's because they work better on my phone. But I would suggest you try both and see which one you like best.
Wirelessly posted
I haven't tried v8, but I can tell you Beta6v7 is amazing.
Both of them is verry good. which one is best?? It 's to your opinion!!!!
Lyric and OOAK build great Hybrids too, it is all personal preference. They all have strong attributes and all three excel in different areas. As stated before, since each Hybrid performs differently on each device I would recommend giving each a shot and see for yourself.

I beta tested V8....before that I ran Lyric's "cocktail", as well as OOAK's.
All three are exceptional achievements....but on MY BB, I prefer V8, hands down. Since my last "reset" at 5:30 PM...I booted up at 50.8, and at 11PM...believe it...I'm at 51.5, hmmmm
BBC you deserve...:hail::hail::hail:
I'm on my first day with V8 (the OS not the drink). But I did have lyric's loaded for about 4 days or so. My only knock on Lyrics was there was a little (and I mean a little) typing lag. And also the screen gets distorted for a half a second when you go from landscape to portrait and vice versa. I do get an extra 4MB of app memory with V8. Lyric also has the clock and manage connections shortcuts on the default zen. The shortcuts are even there when you in landscape or in app menu in portrait. Basically you can't go wrong with either one. After some more time with v8 i'll be able to comment further.
Edited to add: Both stay at mid 40's of app memory and I have a lot of apps. Viigo, Myspace, and facebook to name a few.

I couldn't agree more BBC... I keep switching between v8 and OOAKDPC's hybrids because I can't figure out which one works better on my Storm. I haven't tried lyric's v6beta7, but 6beta6 didn't run as well as 7.1.4-151 or ooakdpc's 7.6 on MY Storm...
All of them are great, and you can't just talk about BBC and lyricidal when it comes to great hybrid builders/hybrids... :hail:Can't forget OOAKDPC and Gabriel as well. All of the hybrid designers put out a great product and it is just a matter of finding which one works the best for you. (Gabriel is the next hybrid I'm gonna try).
It seems that OOAKDPC and Gabriel are oft-forgotten when it comes to solid hybrid builds... just trying to remind people that there are more options out there to take a look at! Show all the hybrid makers some love and don't leave the lesser known builders out of the hybrid conversation!
That said, all of you hybrid builders have earned my respect time and time again -- thanks! (Also, can't forget the testers and BBOS team who make solving any issues that may arise with a hybrid -- or any other blackberry issues -- extremely easy to take care of!) <------------ I'm aware the last part is a bitfftopic: but I couldn't resist taking the time to thank all of the hybrid builders and BBOS team for their hard work and causing me to become more and more addicted to my Black(Crack)Berry.

I think that v8 is the most stable hybrid to date. It's what should be on the phone right out of the box. Me personally, I like life on the wild side. So try to experience every hybrid that comes out. My phone has been a rock solid test machine and i still use it for everyday usage (and work for that matter.)
To each his own. :cool2:
All the World is a Stage..., and if you don't act right, I'm cutting off your Mic. :147:
I, too, like to test every hybrid that I find released... and I also use my phone for everyday use (and work) and couldn't agree with you more about my Storm being a "rock solid test machine". Honestly, it's about finding your preference (or your Storm's preference rather) and running with it.
Personally, I am of the mentality that it is impossible to know what is the best hybrid unless you try them all!!! (I'm aware that not everyone has the time nor patience to do this, but I get bored at work and doing this still accomplishes the goal of LOOKING like i am actually working, when, in fact, I am just playing with my BlackBerry)
