After 3rd batt pull, 46.1 meg.

Removed all the unneeded apps and we will see how this shrunk OS goes.

this hybrid is great it fixed the MMS issue on the 7.1.4
BUT ~! there is a huge memory leak on v8, compared to 7.1.4.
I havent added any new apps since 7.1.4 so it must be the hybrid,
v8 booted up nicely but after 24 hours on my memory went down to 4mb!!! >.<
on 7.1.4 the memory was very stable always staying above 20mb even after 24 hours or more.

thats my fixings for now, these hybrids are great !
    GJ and thank you BBCRACKMAN!

I posted about memory leak before but never got any feedback. I wiped mine again and it dotted with 40MB and in just over 3 hours it is down to 22MB. With Lyricidal Beta6v7 it dropped just 7MB in 24 hours.

Mine has been up since I updated it to v8. I have not rebooted it once since I installed v8 (after the obligatory 3 battery pulls of course). I'm going to see how long I can go without having to do a reboot...

I love Score Mobile, but it can be bad too if you have it running in the background.

I never leave Viigo running... after I finish reading, I close the program completely... I figured as soon as I start the program it will update and just adds a few seconds before I can read anything but that's not too high of a price to pay for not having it leak memory throughout the day...

I have BerryWeather installed and set it to update every 12 hrs only.

I don't run Viigo in the back ground. I have Weatherbug set to every hour.

I'm pretty sure it's one of or a combination of apps that are causing the leak. Just like jnespa said, try running without the theme for a few hours. If you see no improvement, start deleting apps one at a time to see which one is causing the leak. Give your phone an hour or two in between each deletion. It may be a pain in the ass, but you should be able to find the culprit that way.

Let us know how it goes.

ive had v8 installed for about 18hrs now and love it so far! There are only 2 things that I have found that i dont like...1-lag from portrait to landscape and vice versa, 2- when i go to open up a conversation in bbm5.0 it wont open, i have to click it like 3-5 times before it finally opens up the conversation. Other than those 2 things everything else seems to be great. battery life and signal is great and the browser seems quicker. The only thing i wish was added is the ability to click on the clock or signal to manage connections like in os 5.0.! Other than all that thanks a lot BBC!!! Your work is greatly appreciated!

I've had that issue w/ BBM 5 as well. I'm not sure if it's BBM or the hybrids or both but I've had that happen w/ other hybrids as well. I haven't used straight .151 or any other previous firmware in a while so I can't really say for sure... so far though I have not experienced that BBM 5 issue with v8
