Thread: Memory leaking terribly

First off my memory even after reboot will not go any higher than 27.0. Why is mine so low, i am reading that it should be around 40?? I am running .151 currently. The second problem is that within a couple hours it drops to 13 or sometimes even below 10!! What do i do to correct this problem, and why is it even doing it in the first place?

If your phone isn't having any problems, like spinning clocks all the time, or rebooting.... Those numbers that you are seeing, are only #'s.

The problem im having is that when it leaks low, which it does quickly, i cant receive or send MMS anymore. I am running the .151 leak

Do you use all of the messenger apps. A lot? Are there apps in that list you don't really use? Did you shrink your os before loading?

I only use the BB messanger and the AOL messanger sometimes. Are all the 4.7 and BB programs necessary to use that i have listed there? Are any there that would cause my storm to leak that badly, and why wont it go over 27?

Should i reinstall the .151, or is that not necessary?

The 4.7 is your os! Can't get rid of that. Did you SHRINK your os? Is there apps you really don't use? For instance... When I had vz nav. It was a huge memory leak and so is word mole. If you use the bum a lot and have multiple conversations open, that becomes a leak. The other messengers are worse. I wouldn't give up bum though.

Whats BUM? I pay a monthly fee for the navigator, but i dont mind getting rid of word mole, rarely use that at all anyway. What do you suggest?

Oh, gotcha, so anything else i should delete? What things on your phone determine that app memory? Just applications and thats all?

I'm thinking its ether the theme, tip app, or the flashlight app - all the other things there I've used with no leakage issues...

I'm assuming you didn't shrink your os before you installed, since you haven't answered that question yet. No problem! All SHRINK is, is a program you install on your desk top that will allow you to remove things inside your OS you don't need or use. You can remove things like all the languages that you don't use. There are other things that can be removed that will essentially SHRINK the size of your OS. If you feel up to doing that, we can give you a hand. Just say the word! All so that maybe the reason right there that you aren't seeing the 40's you want to see.

Hi tommy, your right about, certain themes being huge memory leaks but Ottie only has the stock theme on here. The zen theme has very little leak to it. The tip app is actually fairly small in size and nothing really to it to leak.
