This is my personal hybrid that I've been using recently. It runs very smooth and I thought I would share it with everyone. The majority of the files used are from .164. One major deal about this hybrid is that it doesn't use the .151 transitions. I removed them because I found that they don't work every time and they also cause unnecessary clocks. I included Lyricidals Shrink-A-OS, I used it before I installed and it worked perfect. Please leave your feedback if you decide to give it a try.

Install Instructions
Download "Hybrid v1 9530.zip" from the link posted above. Open the file and then extract the "Hybrid" folder onto your desktop. Open C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\9530-v4.7.0.151_P4.0.0.186. Select All and then delete everything in the folder. Replace the files you've just deleted with all the files in the "Hybrid" folder that you extracted onto your desktop. You can now use Lyricidals Shrink-A-OS and then you're ready to install!

I havn't tried it and I'm busy at the moment. I don't think you can. If you want to try it I'm sure it's not going to do any damage I've bricked my phone plenty of times messing around with files.

Starting off slower than other hybrids... at least on my phone.. because there's no transitions, it appears slower but I'm not really sure it is... the transitions from the .151 may make it seem faster instead of the previous fading in and out.. switching from portrait to landscape is extremely fast at times and slow at other times which is kinda weird... All my apps appear to be working... will update in a few days to let you how of anything new...

Just installed. It's my first hybrid, so far i'm likeing it!!!

So far runs a good deal faster than 151, noticed increase in mem by approx 6 MB no issues yet, and i have barely saw then fckn clock hands spinning when i try to do anything... Woo hoo! but i have also only had it on here about 12 - 15 minutes

Glad to hear thanks for posting feedback and welcome to BlackberryOS

For some reason or another it does not like my phone. =T Typing is slow at times and it's really random and in different apps. I don't get any clocks which is good. I do miss the transitions though... :P Memory doesn't hold up as well as the more established hybrids but better than straight .151. Again this is on my phone which is really picky on with hybrids... but i'm too lazy to swap since the Storm 2 is coming out soon... :P

So far only had one minor issue the browser got stuck in landscape for about 20 min for no apparent reason, but the suddenly decided to work properly again, not really an issue but figured i'd address that.

another issue... after taking/ saving video, and later choosing to delete it the files still show up in the media list, but the files are actually deleted.

How does it work with themes. A lot of mine don't work with the 151 hybrids I have tried.

the only theme i use is the BBOS2 theme, but have had no theme related problems.

Many theme makers have already implemented the available fix for .151 and up OS...some still not yet

all themes will work on this hybrid
