Thread: Trying to upgrade my OS from .148 to .151 Hybrid. .151 not showing in app loader

I have done everything to try and get this to work and I am out of ideas.
I wiped my phone and deleted all the previous operating systems off my computer. I did a clean re-install of .151 and it will not show in app loader and if i go to c:/ and app loader it doesnt upgrade anything? I am lost.. any ideas?

Did you delete vendor? You can turn off your internet conexion when you do the process.

I've found sometimes a reboot will help "invisible" problems.. What shows up in your pc's controll panel / add remove progs?

I have done the restart and I also deleted everything blackberry and re-installed everything again and still nothing... I did just try lyricals Hybrid install and when I shrunk the OS using his program it brought up the upgraded files... SOmethings wacky? Not sure what the deal was?

I am getting the Reload software 507 error?

Well that means the phone is bricked.. Not bad... Before you tried the hybird, did you install a base os on yer pc before applying the hybrid files?

Yes I reinstalled the the base and I just did the apploader and it is re-installing... is there a full moon out?

ok just got done it worked with lyricals but not crackmans.... i think technology hates me... but its ok..i have bbos... ;-) Thank you all..

No problemo. There always someone around to help. Usually a staff member, they are generally a bit more helpfull though.

Well I'm having the same problem. I've loaded the 9530/9500 .151/.164/5.0 Hybrid
But when I go to the app loader and it cycles through all it shows are the app's that I have on my phone. No indication of the base or core OS or the upgrades.

Make sure you have a base OS installed (in this case a fresh .151 downloaded AND installed on your PC). Once the base is installed, run the hybrid installer. Then, delete the vendor.xml file in c/program files/common files/research in motion/app loader, scroll to the bottom. Once those steps are complete and you backed up everything, double click on loader.exe.
