5.0.0.140 and Bluetooth File Transfer issue

I posted this in another forum but I'm starting to think it's just me having this issue. Thought I would try here to see if anyone else has this problem.

I can't file transfer via bluetooth in either direction to another phone or computer. If I'm looking at the BT options while I initiate a file transfer from my computer (after the search and pairing is successful) I see the computer go bold in the list on my phone but immediately returns to normal and I get an error saying about the transfer.

I also noticed that my computer only shows "DUN" as a service for my phone, am thinking that's at least past of the problem. Same issue from another phone.
This used to work on the .151 hybrids.

Anyone else get this? If so is there a resolution? If not maybe it's just me.

BTW, BT audio works fine and I did not try to shrink when I installed.

Have you tried with a second phone? It would help to rule out issues. If the two test phones can transfer without an issue, then I would definitely say the issue is with your phone.

I was able to transfer a file via BT to the other phone from the computer. it was a HTC Touch Pro not a BB. Anyone can test and tell me what services should be broadcast from my BB Storm? I have all the options checked but the computer (even when I refresh) only picks up dial up networking.

It could also be an issue with the new OS too.

I am able to transfer files to my computer, (2 different computers using BT.)

I am running .140.

I paired my phone and the computers....I then used the Files icon (the new one).....selected my file....hit the BB button....scrolled down to Send Using Bluetooth....selected it.....picked one computer and then the other.....All done.

What kinda of BT device did you buy for ur PC ? I have Kensington it is Probably the biggest POS!! BT i ever used, Do ur self a favor and buy a rocketfish , i had kensington for over a year messed with it on and off thing works one day then broke for months, i got a new one from them and still is trash.. CS was a joke they told me it was my Blackberry, i told him is weird i have a Rocketfish and have np sending/recieving files, so CS/Technicains at Kensington plain suck..... I put Rocketfish in installed and been sending stuff BT np at all.

I am running Lyric's 6v6 and having the same problem with transferring my phone book to my car via BT. Must be one of the 5.0 files messing it up. Maybe someone who knows more than I can figure out a fix!

Problems downloading contacts into BT device

I've got a 9530 with .151 on it and it's paired in my car with an Alpine ex-10. My 3 main problems are:

1) the remote control will not dial calls...all other features (scrolling, selecting, etc) work fine on the remote, but it won't dial a call from any of the lists (calls received, calls missed, calls made, or the phone book) :irked:

2) the contacts are not loading into the BT device properly. Sometimes it only loads to the 'L's in my contacts or the 'M's or wherever, but it won't do a complete download. :aargh4:

3) overall experience streaming Slacker hasn't been the greatest....stoppages, volume issues, playing speed issues, sound quality, etc. :Eyecrazy:

Everything else on the BT works decent, but I really would like these features cleared up. I'm thinking that it's an issue with the OS or the STorm, but hoping that it can be resolved through some changes in settings somewhere.....

Any suggestions would be MUCH APPRECIATED!! :D:D
