app loader takes so long is there no other way to get it?

not that i know of...it doesn't load the whole os it will just add bbm...takes maybe 5 min.

no...the one you downloaded with your new os...find it here C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

first make sure you don't have 5.0bbm on your berry...on berry go to options>applications>add-on and make sure 5.0bbm isn't there...if it is delete it first.
hook your storm up to the usb...find the app loader (C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader)... launch it ....check the bbm....finish...should be good to go

I would like to shrink this puppy down a bit.

Also does Meterberry, Application Center, work in this OS?
Also the menu keeps popping up I cant get it to stop...

I don't think meteberry works, and definitely not App World.

There is a 5.0 hybrid out there you could try.

Meterberry works in .140, but not .191. App center doesn't work in ether but you don't need that for anything, it is useless.

I would try a battery pull for your menu issue. If that doesn't work you will probably have to reload your OS. If you already have your backup that will be easy - just use this method: http://www.blackberryos.com/forums/r...oader-exe.html

I downloaded google maps and it works, but the keyboard wont hide and there is no option to hide it. any one else have that issue.
