I have no problems with your #1 so I am not sure what to say in that regard.

#2: I am not sure what the browser fix so perhaps you could shed some light on what you did there.

3 and 4 will not work. But you can access facebook through its mobile site.

5. Google Maps works beautifully on mine.

So perhaps I would try doing a battery pull to see if any of these are corrected by doing so.

I just installed version 5.0.0.140 after try Crackman V8

1- I'm not able to save a lock password, my Storm reset

2- I use the Browser fix for the browser and the MMS appear

3- Msn Messenger don't work

4- Facebook 1.6.0.21 don't work

5- Google Maps 3.02 don't work

if anyone of you has a solution for these problems, please let me know

1- When I try to set a password, I see a quick command screen and my Storm reset

2- It's a browser fix for Telus users

3&4- No solution for the moment, I wait the new versions

5- It's works now !

I have noticed there are more reboots on my Storm now then when i had .151 on it... Kinda sucks....

i have had 3 or 4 reboots since loading this on the day of the leak. all the reboots were a result of going to menu>now playing.

Just hang in there buddy it will reboot but will settle down. A trick some people have used to reduce reboots is clearing the browser cache on a regular basis. I am now on day 4 of no reboots.

i have never cleared my cache so the cache doesn't affect my reboots....again,everyones seem to react differently to various things.

I apoligize if this has been asked already. In this release has the calendar options changed to reflect a choice when you are in calendar and click on menu there is now a choice to "select Calendar". If this is something new that is found in the 5.0 files is there a way to select which default calendar you want and how to delete one you do not want?

Thing is, the browser works fine. The problem is that when I go into the media player to play music, I get the following error:

unable to play content.


any ideas on how to fix? I tried battery pulls and I get the same damn pop up everytime

I have not encountered that issued. You might just want to start again with wiping your phone and reinstalling the OS.

At first, I tried wiping the phone and installing the beta by itself but the Media Home folder was inaccessible and it took some battery pulls for media files to work. I thought it might have been a broken file in the OS so I tried downloading from a different server: same results. Then I tried installing it over the v8 hybrid by copying the beta files into the .151 folder and now I have the same problem as berryuser. I'm trying my best to work around this problem not only because of how much smoother the software runs (compared to both previous beta leaks and official releases) but especially because the radio reception from the 5.0 OS is great on my Storm.

This is getting very frustrating...:aargh4:

Typically the way I like to set the default calendar is still the same as it was in the 4.7 core OS. Try using these steps.

Options>>Advanced Options>>Default Services

Now at this point you should see 2 default service settings.
Calendar (CICAL)

Messaging (CMIME)

For calendar, select the email account in the drop down tab you prefer to default all new calender entries to.

Choose the same for the Messaging. When creating a new message, the defaulted email account that has been selected will be used as the senders email account, (your account).

Note: These adjustments allow users with multiple email accounts to set the primary account to be the defaulted service.

For instance. Select the email account the you prefer all calendar entries to sync to. At any new calendar entry, the calendar will choose the defaulted selection as the only account to set the event to.

Hope this helps.

As far as the option to select calendar, I have not utilized that feature.
I am going to bet that this will allow you to wright new entries to multiple email accounts associated to that device instead of just the one defaulted email account.
If this is so, not only will the defaulted get a listing of new entries, all associated accounts that you have selected will get the new entry into the calendar.

Welcome to BBOS. Just to add to Sunkast's comment, facebook does not work but you can still access it through their mobile site which I believe is m.facebook.com

Correct. I figured that the browser and media files are conflicting with each other, so for the moment I have the bb browser uninstalled and running Opera Mini instead. With this setup I can play my audio and video files with no problem; but without the bb browser I can't download ota files...

yes... the only thing that is there is the empty folder...

i would remove the folder as well as wipe and reinstall it sounds as if something went wrong.. You may even want to uninstall .140 and reinstall it first
