Thread: Java files from the new 4.7.0.164 to 9530?

Is it possible to just swap the java folder from the leak 164 into the 151 java folder? I know that the radio file would be different but we would get some of the benefits of the 164 right?

In previous builds this was possible, however, starting with the 151 this was not possible. Files had to be changed to get the 151 to work with the 9530 device and it seems that 164 is no exception. In fact it is even more difficult than 151. Rest assured there are plenty working on this so we can see what the new 164 has to offer.

What a bummer. Is the radio file just decoding/using the java files differently?

I tried .164 w/5.0radio twice, both times had a quick message pop up and then it resets over and over

Yeah that's going to happen. Coming 5.0 and 4.7 is going to brick your phone. Many have been trying to get it to work but so far no one has been successful.
