Just installed, after flattening the phone..
You Tube and Google Maps don't seem to work any more..., which is may be not to be unexpected.., as it is a new full release..
Web Browser is dire, but I wonder if that may just be a bad night.., never had probs with 4.7.151...
Keyboard Ghosting is a nice idea as per iPhone..
Phone feels slows for me..., things take a while to happen...
I was just about to re-load 151 and see that 164 is avail, so will give that a go...
5.0.140 not good enough for me just yet...
At least you get another leak to try...lol
Thanks for posting and welcome to BBOS.
Hope to cya around the forums Good day M8

Welcome to BBOS!!! You are lucky...if 5.0 doesn't work then you have a choice of 4.7.0.164Originally Posted by ColinAlbright

just loaded .164 and so far found one thing, it seems like you can't do multiple messages delete anymore. well, you can still do the multiple select but only 1 message will be removed....
actually 2 things, one was when trying to delete message from both handheld and mailbox, it is taking too long and if your lucky enough, you will end up rebooting your device :-(
UPDATE: I have now everything sorted out...after install, you may need to do more than 3 batt pulls. in my case, it took me 3 batt pulls initially and 4 softreset (quickpull thing) and 1 more batt pull. After the last batt pull, switched off radio and turned it back on...
everything seems to be working fine now and browser seems a lot faster and check out the exploding effect when pressing BB key while in home screen...
im downloading going from151 v7 to 5.0 140 let see what happens
I see there are a couple of versions of 5.0 140...
One with Quincy and one without...?, I wasn't impressed with the one that has it...
Wonder if the other is any better...?
Hello
I get an error with MeterBerry, " uncaught exception: java.lang.error.
when pressed OK it says "unable to reset device. error code: 4"
is this an incompatibility issue?
Thank you very much
I think i have to go back to the Hybrid which was on. now I find, opera mini, quick pull, bb internet browser, etc.. not working. Quick pull was installed after meterberry failure. May be option 2 is not an option. Emails receive only when restarting(ie manual battery pull). so far haven't received any SMS, does not know whether anyone sent me one or not as i am not a heavy texter.
But I must say that I like the start up screen, the speed of application loading, memory stability. for last 7 hours i lost only 0.3MB and left with 50.7MB.
I like the leaked version if not for those problems. Can some hybrid expert make a hybrid with this if you haven't one so far.
Cheers

I am very happy with 5.0 and not planning to downgrade any time soon (unless myt phone totally flips out on me). I really like:Originally Posted by 654321ROD

I cannot say it's bug free as I do have bugs/glitches...but they are tolerable, and not worse in any way than any other OS that I put on my phone.![]()
i have tried 5.0 on 9500 again... with 9530 java files this time...
but... no good...
media players don't seem to work...
lots of apps don't work either....
i would've loved to port the tabbed browser and key ghosting features to a hybrid... but it seems that 4.7.X.X and 5.0 files don't go well together...
so... no luck with 5.0 yet for 9500...
