ok guys installed .140 and like it except I am having a issue and i have searched this forum along with crackberry and blackberryforums and cant seem to find my issue. I am getting a uncaugt exception error with the profiles.

uncaught exception: Application net_rim_bb profiles app (170)

that is my error... has anyone else seen this or know of a fix? Thanks in advance

Uncaught exception means there was an unknown type of error that the device could not recover from. I think the best way for you to fix this would be to wipe your device, and reinstall.

will the crackutil wipe file system option be sufficiant?

I'm not sure since I haven't used the app personally. As long as you end up with a device that has an error 507 on it, you are fine.

Interesting I do no believe the 9530 has that option. What part of the phone is that option in on your phone?

    battery gained power

    Hello
Just noticed that during two start ups today the phone has gained 12% power from 55% to 67% around 1255hrs and 9% from 30% to 39% around 2145hrs. I thought you lose power when the phone is restarted. I am using 5.0.0.140 os now. Is meterberry recording wrong?

I have the 9530 and I am definitely not Satisfied w/5.0 thus far. I can however say that I am looking forward to the "Official" release from Rim and VZW once all the bugs have been ironed out. Even then things wouldn't be perfect but hopefully MUCH BETTER than the current leaked version. Its a great upgrade..Much faster OS ..better than any OS out there but just way too many bugs...Error messages, resets..a lot of apps not being compatible, themes...etc...I went back to .113..in my opinion, this version is "Flawless"..I have no resets, no error mesages, All my apps work and themes(Halo berry(prsnl favorite)...It has great memory mngmnt... Till then my fellow Addicts,,,

I'm in the suburbs. I have a very unfavorable opinion when it comes to the city of Detroit, and the state of Michigan as a whole.

    Thumbs up

Fix for Windows Live and Yahoo Messenger

    1. download this file from RS or from MU
    2. extract the file to your java folder of 5.0.0.140 installation (make sure the WindowsLiveMessenger.alx and YahooMessenger.alx are in your home installation folder. if you have removed them using Shrink-A-OS, they might be in the RemovedFiles folder under the java folder. just copy them back to the home installation folder)
    3. install through DM/Application Loader/Update Software, you should see them on the check list.

    enjoy.

    rar content:
    1. net_bb_qm_msn.cod (from 5.0.0.154)
    2. net_bb_qm_yahoo.cod (from 5.0.0.154)
    3. net_bb_qm_msn_resource_en.cod (from 4.7.0.167)
    4. net_bb_qm_yahoo_resource_en.cod (from 4.7.0.167)
    total file size: 1.02mb

no credit is supposed to be addressed to me as i am only making the package to be used for everyone.
