try uninstalling the 5.0 software first then wipe your device using BBSAK

i used bbsak to wipe then load os result no browser along with other missing componants tryed to send service books n stuff no joy tryed the reset factory settings and wala browser n stuff appeared but still cant get a conection any ideas any 1 i would like to get this bad boy working it looks sweet

Welcome to BBOS. Have you tried registering your Host Routing Table and resending service books? Also a battery pull just might do the trick.

yeh i tryed sending them i had full signal bars and received a text but after that i would get no dial tone or not recieve calls dam os 5.0 i so wnt this to be good

ok i m 9500 voda 5.0.0.140 just tryed puting it back on cant get the browser to appear again or email setup i have just sent an sms to my self did not recieve it but recieved it after a bat pull cant dial out or in . i have went to host routing table. no entries hit reg now no reply .cheers

What OS did you have on your device previously? It sounds like .140 isn't taking to your 9500 very well.

165 i wiped with bbsak 164 even

if i try to call my BB it gets a dead tone not the usual the mobile you have called may be switched off . o well back to 164 again cheers again sunkast

Yeah that's my line of thinking... Take .140 out of the mix to know whether or not it is the new OS or not.

back on 164 all is well . its strange i have tryed nearly every os oficial beta hybrid so far never had no probs this is the only 1 i have been realy wantin to work oh well just have to wait sum more anyway kudos sunkast rep out to ya

ajthescot, I am also going to check for ya....as I am not sure how Voda works. For some carriers, people needed to download service books separately to get browser and email to work.

I had all those problems. No Internet browser, no email acounts, no sms, no phone call coming or can not dial out plus many applications does not work.

My solution.
about 4 manual battery pulls, (pull the battery out, leave it for 1 min and put it back on). By doing this you can get BIS, SMS, Email back. but with internet with home page you do not get the proper webpage, it is like the page source but I use opera mini for internet browsing. It works fine after battery pulls,
Applications
Opera mini - works fine
Meter Berry - works but you can not reset your device.
Vodafone find and go works fine.
capture it workfine.
I was using Gabriels hybrids, but this os is really good.

tryed it again works fine on 2g except i get a 1 bar signal on 2g :17:
i did not wipe this time and did not remove the vendor file = browser email settings cheers for the info guys

I had it installed 4 days ago using the loader. Browser,email settings,calls,apps worked fine,but the berry was rebooting randomly when I tried to type something,so it is out.
I'm on vodafone.
