I love the Memory on 5.0.0.140. Cant wait for more!

Here are my numbers for the Tour, taken from MB:

Available Device memory
Total: 15.0MB
Free: 14.1MB

Application:
Total: 128MB
Free: 118MB

Your free on tour is a little low....lower than many people

In my opinion, 5.0.0.140 is really good with memory management. Anything .151+ is good.

Yeah that's because I have about 20 apps on my fine Still can't really complain with 118mb of free memory.

My Obssesive Memory Disorder has been replaced with Obssesive App Disorder. With the limitations of the Storm's available memory you had to pick and choose which apps you wanted to install. With the tour you can just go hog wild without even making a dent.

Haha this is true but I am very picky about what apps. I use they have to keep my attn. lol

Josh, 20 apps is ok. At one point I had over 40 on my storm. Now that's real obssessive app disorder

My app mem with 5.0 boots up with 35.4 MB. That's the lowest ever. Usually was at 43-44 but the good news is that it hasn't dropped in over 24 hours with heavy use. I can live with that.

what about your device memory though? The start up with nothing but the os on the phone for any storm should be 879.2MB. I initially made this thread to see if anyone like me had seen that it seems your 3rd party apps are acutally being stored on your DEVICE memory. While everyone is starting wiht a lower app memory the device memory seems to actually be holding the apps

i'm booting at 44.7 with my apps loaded.i have berry weather,berry buzz,smart alarms pro,meterberry,VyMail,ScoreMobile,got-2-pro,berry unit converter,poynt,solitaire bubby gold,BBos launcher,parking lot and connect four. no themes. i'm still adding a few apps at a time to check compatibility.

Check your DEVICE memory not your app memory

i hear what you're saying j but i don't think that ship has sailed yet.all my apps appear to be installing into my app memory. for the device to run apps out of the device memory might even take some hardware changes...but i'm not sure about that.
