Did you uninstall RIM tools from your computer before loading to your phone? Or did you remove it from your phone after load?

Did you look in other folders? Not to sound condescending but some times in other os loads depending on my theme I have found it somewhere else. Also did you you get emails? One from RIM and one from telus?

Yes, I looked in all the folders. I even checked to see if it was installed on the phone and it is.

What do you mean get emails? I did send my service books and got confirmation.

From everything I have seen so far, no browser on Telus. It looks like a global problem.
I would try Mini Opera or Bolt installed from the PC.

I have web links in emails that when I click them it doesn't open the browser. I'm a little confused because its listed under the applications as installed, i can't see the icon but can't load the broswer up by clicking on links...

Should I download the mini opera generic as the pc download version doesn't include one for the storm (on the Opera Browser | Faster & safer Internet | Free Download website anyway)

sorry my friend it's a telus thing. none of us have been able to get the browser working. I have not been able to find a fix yet...

I removed it after. It had been on my device all night. I also just got another RBR

Ok all I have been running since last nite. everything good except for when i get an email it usually only shows up in the messages box not the email...then if you dont open it before you read it and delete it everything sticks.... and then you guys mentioned this in a previous post

I dont have those anywhere? I didnt shrink the only thing I did is removed rim internal tools before I installed.. I am still tryin to make my way through the findings but there is sooo much

Opera might work however you'll need to have a 9530 version. The desktop version's only go up to 8830.

if you have it on .151 you can do a 3rd party backup and load onto your 5.0 with dm or apploader.

I've got it on my 9530 with 5.0 but i have yet to do a esn swap to activated the 9530 so I haven't tested yet.

I have a feeling this wont work I think it might need the bb browser as a base.

Generic version, there is no Storm version.

Remember, you can't download files from the internet without the BB browser. If I were on Telus, I would already be back on .151. I am already thinking about it because of the quickpull and googlemaps problems. Is this more hassle than it's worth?
