Probably not. The apps are not working because the vendors have not caught up with 5.0. So until they do no hybrid will fix that issue.

I wasnt an avid user of FB,but I had it on my phone, oh well...Im trying to get Myspace to work now..but Im pissed about AppWorld

UPDATE:

Tried the fix posted previously in here about myspace, no go. However after the bp done when Myspace finished downloading I do see the FB app in applications like before, but it does say that the phone does not meet requirements when trying to dl.

Viigo works on OS 5.0, you just need to re-install it from the website after you upgrade ... restoring it through the desktop manager will NOT work.

Question: I use the default browser to go to YouTube.com to see if they got Flash to work in this OS. When I click on any video, it launches my video player with a blank screen. I get a message: Cannot play media while an Alert is active
Anyone try this? I'm curious to know if I need to make a settings change or if it just doesn't work.

Wow! Funny all my 3rd party apps work. Only blackberry licensed 3rd party apps don't work.

Is anyone running any other themes with this OS besides the default? When I download BBOS Theme, I can see it in my apps list, but not under theme tag. I have also changed all the permissions to allow.

Because you can not do a soft reset with OuickPull and Meterberry, is there a way to reset the Storm without removing the battery?

I was running a theme on my Storm worked fine. Didn't try the BBOS theme though. Quicklaunch will reset the phone in 5.0.

Here is a list of all the applications for the Storm. (all the ones I could find based off of stormota.com ) Bare with me.

Blue = Works
Red = Does NOT Work
Green = Works in Compatibility mode

If there isn't an app on here please list it and put if it works according to the colors. Sorry if I forgot any. ;-)

That happened to me this past weekend - while I was still on BBC 7.1.4/151... Since 5.0 it works everytime for me.


Ubertwitter works like a champ!

Pretty bummed about FB but Twitter is better anyways!

So far I think the pros outweigh the cons by far... but thats just me... Looks like RIM is going in the right direction with this one.

Flycast doesn't work for me, sadly. I listen to it every day at work, so it's back to .151 unless someone else got theirs to work?

Poynt works great on my phone, don't you hate how on some phones things work and some don't. The only problem I ever had on my phone with all the different OS's was the themes I liked didn't work on the .151 hybrid.
