So what does everyone think, I am running .151 and am thinking of moving to the newest hybrid from BBCMAN. Should i go to 5.0 OR Should i go to BBCMANs Hybrid?

I had the 5.0 installed and I'm going back to BBC's .151/7.1.4. Too buggy
for me.

Could just wait a few days, I'm sure BBCrackman will have a new hybrid out.

I think I am going to ride this one out for a few days. I'm not having nearly as many problems as most. I did a clean install with no shrink. I got my BBM to work (most important.) And the apps that I truely need are fuctional. You can't beat the speed. The accelerometer is back to its' true form. The transitions are sweet. All messages are working. Knowing that this is a leak, you get what you pay for.
The cons: One stuck message reminder (oh well.) Can't adjust volume while playing media (don't care.) Lost use of my Yahoo IM (I only used it for one person. She better get a Blackberry.)
Overall, memory has been solid since my upgrade. Can't speak on battery usage because I've been going at it very heavy since the change. You all know after the Wizards get some rest (like they ever do) they are going to hit this release with some serious Hybrids. By the time Storm2 gets here the BBOS will only want to play with the hardware.

have you tried Palringo, is an all in one applications for social networking?

Anyone notice the new call display while u call someone or answer a call ?!!

The Speaker phone / FLASH / 3Way / AND MUTE are on the bottom now.

...and if you are calling say vzw and need to make selections, a little text entry box comes up...pretty neat!!!

So, I love this OS!!! I have no complaints so far

But will give it a few good days for final word

i came back here to say the exact same thing cause i didn't see anyone mention it.
Too early to tell if i like it or not. One thing i don't like is, the older call screen had description of wat each button was, which was really helpful incase i forget. So idk how much i'll like this. But I do like the screen size. I guess this eliminates people accidently hitting the mute button with their cheeks. Hopefuly.

I also found a bug. Steps to reproduce:
When you are in the phone app, rotate the device with the ear piece facing down and end the call or exist the app. The home screen with rotate as well.
-The device will operate normal, but some of the apps will only fill up the screen.

i think this is the SHIT!!!!!!!!!

I downloaded 5.0 this morning over OOAK's Hybrid and things worked but it was slightly sluggish and buggy. So when I got home I wiped the phone and did a clean download. Can't get facebook to work, but I can live with that. Got Slacker to work and new BBM. This is a good leak and i am sure the Hybrid professionals will make it a great OS. I am willing to wait it out.

I did not read all of the messages on this forum, but did anyone notice the tabs button on the browswer. It is almost like you can be searching a few websites at one time.

HAHAH... we get all of this in a software update and iphone owners have to buy a new phone to record video.

I ended up going back to .151/BBC 7.1.4 I love how the transitions work every time and all the new features, but there were too many bugs for me. The browser seemed a lot slower for me. I was getting the ghost message indicators. I was having problems sending texts. I was having problems deleting e-mails. Meterberry and Facebook weren't working properly. And I had two freeze ups that requires batt pulls. (haven't had those in ages...lol) So its back to BBC's masterpiece for now until someone cooks up a working hybrid.

I am sorry it didn't work out for you, but I am sure that bbc is working hard on a hybrid.

i like how the phone goes totally black after ten seconds of being on a phone call........not sure if it did that before........now all i need is facebook and i'll be happy.....what about a social app that includes facebook???????? does anyone have any of those on their phone working?????
