Not trying to hijack this thread, but recently got my unlocked 9530 registered with tmobile and couldnt get an EDGE signal where as before I registered it was on and off. I read that if you uncheck 'APN Settings Enabled' under TCP/IP it will help hold an EDGE signal. I tried that and now I do have EDGE, and got emails. Although I dont think I can use my browser now. Any input on this would be appreciated![]()

That is the whole 9500 os, you may want to use the java from .151 for the 9530 or something like that., If you need help on how to do this let us know
The best way would be to download and install 9530 .151 full os
Then download Shrink a os by lyricdal, and it has a radio swap on the right hand side. will download shrink a os, then extract it to your desktop.
Then visit Bryans thread Here
Just one thing to keep in mind when you do the radio swap click that you are a 9500 user so that you get the 9500 .151 radio
how do i know if everything its ok bro?
i mean if i got 9500 radio

Joe the unfortunate side to doin it with 151 radio for 9500 and the 151 java for 9530 is just to see if u r getting better EDGE. The platform numbers for 9530 and 9500 r the same I believe if u used the program like it said to u will have it. Has it been working better?
On a BlackBerry device, if you have a lowercase signal indicator (1x, 1xev, edge, ect.), that means you are connected to a cellular tower with that technology but do not have data access. Once data access to BlackBerry's servers is established the case changes to all CAPS.
This is generally because of a misconfiguration of the phone or the network. You are generally better off contacting your cell phone provider's tech support to make sure the phone settings are correct or account settings match what they have to allow your device access to the data services.
jnepsa bro, so far so good, its working better, lets hope it keeps it
