Hey Lou, I'm wondering if you could give me a comparison of your findings with this hybrid, crackman's recent masterpiece and straight 151. I think I've noticed that you've tried them all so I was wondering what worked best for you. I'm currently running straight 151 for about a week and have had good results. I know I want the faster browser so I do want to move to a hybrid but I've been getting a little exhausted going from one to the other and was looking for some good comparisons before making the jump. And I do know these os's react differently on different bb's. Thanks in advance. By the way, anyone else reading this can chime in.

Memory barely dropped at all (from 50mb to 49.7mb) at the gym this morning (I have constant Interweb use at the gym). I did not run BT (dumbass me forgot the passkey to reconnect after the BBSAK wipe during install), but I am all set for tomorrow and will report back tomorrow morning (or earlier if I have anything to add today).

If i were you, I'd give this a shot. Like Lou I've tried everything out there out there and while BBC's is a masterpiece, this just has some newer files e.i from the TOUR (4.7.1.40) and the BOLD's latest leak (5.0.0.130). OneOfAKind puts a lot of time in to make sure he has the freshest hybrid and the tests often to make sure its the smoothest. I give it :bigok:

No problem, bk (even though you are a Skankees fan!).

I never ran straight .151. Ever since I learned how to install and run hybrids, I have been a hybrid junkie. MePaschal has some awesome feedback on straight .151 in the .151 Findings and Fixes Forum. Here is his latest post: http://www.blackberryos.com/forums/9...html#post69673. You can search back from there for more of his awesomely detailed summaries.

Apples to apples, I do not think you will see much difference between BBC 7.1.4, lyricidal beta 6v3 and OOAKPC 7.07. I have heard that BBC 7.1.4 has fixed an issue that some folks were having with .151 sending MMS audio, but since I do not send MMS audio, that does not affect me. I have had issues receiving MMS pictures on each of the three hybrids, so, again, that is a wash for me (please note that I understand the MMS issue varies from phone to phone like many Storm issues). I tried swapping in the .148 MMS .cod file via CrackUtil, but that did not resolve the issue for me.

For me personally, OOAKPC is the smoothest current hybrid on my phone. The browser is snappier and the phone generally seems more responsive. PLEASE NOTE THAT, FROM WHAT WE HAVE LEARNED ABOUT THE STORM, INDIVIDUAL PHONES REACT DIFFERENTLY TO DIFFERENT PROGRAMS, SO YOUR RESULTS MAY VARY.

All in all, each of these three hybrids rocks, so you really cannot make a bad decision (subject, of course, to your Storm deciding to do what the hell it wants!).

Please let me know if I can give you any additional feedback. Good luck tweaking!

For the sake of fairness, my bro UKJay swears by lyricidal's (this was beta6v1 at the time). And I will say that I had a disgusting amount of RAM (upwards of 50) when I ran lyricidal's hybrid last week.

I cannot stress enough that you will not go wrong with any of the three. All three developers are great at responding to comments and questions, and, as always, you will be backed by the support of the nonpareil staff here at BBOS. And, if you are a true hybrid junkie, I highly recommend signing up for a VIP membership. The BBOS servers are fast, but the VIP download server is so fast that you should have to sign a vomit comet waiver because of the speed.
