Thumbs up Gabriel's Hybrid v2.0.3 (with .151/5.0.0.100/4.7.1.40 files) now available!!!

Since the release of the latest hybrids by the mad scientists one by one... all for 9530... I know 9500 users have been waiting patiently for their share. Here it is ... Gabriel's V2.0.3 w/ .151 radio... this new hybrid contains the .151 files, the .151 radio, 5.0 files and also few 4.7.1.40 files from Tour!! It also contains the latest versions of Documents To Go (1.007.042)

    Download Gabriel's hybrid V2.0.3 for 9500

    Updated: July 16, 2009 1:00 AM GMT
    V2.0.3 changelog:
    - added more 4.7.1.40 files
    - better memory stability & performance

    Now the hybrid uses:
    - .151 radio
    - .151 base files
    - around 11 files from 5.0.0.100 OS
    - around 93 files from 4.7.1.40 OS
    - latest version of Documents To Go (1.007.042)

    Updated: July 15, 2009 1:00 AM GMT
    V2.0.1 changelog:
    - added lots of 4.7.1.40 files
    Now the hybrid uses:
    - .151 radio
    - .151 base files
    - around 20 files from 5.0.0.100 OS
    - around 73 files from 4.7.1.40 OS
    - latest version of Documents To Go (1.007.042)

Please note that I have included the latest version of Shrink-A-OS with this hybrid into a seperate folder named "Tools".

    Please follow the steps below:

    - Once downloaded double click to run the installer
    - Click the next button to continue install
    - It will ask you if you want to create the destination directory click NO
    - Click the browse button and navigate to C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files>and select your current OS folder
    - Once selected click next to load the hybrid
    - Once finished click next and then use apploader to install on your phone

Special thanks to BBCrackman and Lyricidal for letting me use files from their hybrids...

I have this running on my 9500 and it seems very smooth and snappy...
Please let me know your findings ...

    Enjoy!

Is there any definitive description for this hybrid ? For example how does this differ from Lyricidals which was released almost simultaneously yet admission is made that both Lyric`s and Crackman`s java files were made use of? I really dont feel like loading both. Thanks for your contributions !

Well... most .151 files are from BBC...
    then a few 5.0 & other files from Lyricidal & BBC ...
They did not want to use their names since i had altered their original hybrids and since this is for 9500 users ONLY...
so ... i used mine... but thanks to them... obviously...

Thanks for your prompt reply. As a matter of interest how did you get hold of the updated Docs to Go files as they are not available on the ota update menu yet?

Man I cant keep up with you. Spent early hours of this morning loading the earlier version. Up 11 hrs and I`m impressed. And now a updated version and what`s more a later version of BBDM 5.0 What do you do if anything outside of fiddling with cell phones? As a matter of interest the latest Lyricidal hybrid I found to be riddled with problems. Os 148 components don`t work too well with a 9500!

Many thanks for your efforts and well done

Had problems with GPS on version 2.01 however these seem to be better with version 2.02. Need to give a few days work over. You are fast becoming the 9500 supremo. Well done!

Well with the straight .151 version whenever i send a mms message, the receiving end either gets a blank message or an error. when i try and send myself a message it comes in blank.

with the .148 mms .cod i get and receive them no problem.

BUT: when i try and make my own, lets say i go into new mssg - mms- add address- then hit the BB buttion no menu comes up so im stuck with nothing...

I cant use the tour MMS file because when i move it with crackutil and reboot, it still shows .151.

if i do a fresh install with the tour mms file it wont load.

Im doing a fresh wipe again and trying out BBCM's OS. see if it helps..

Im trying first with using shrink an os, (which i did not use on your OS) if i get the same result ill do it again without using shrink an os.

EDIT: tried both ways like i stated i would, still no luck. somthing deeper than just the mms cod file.

My guess is that the 151 mms.cod has a compatability problem with 9530. Where did you get the 4.7.1.40 COD as it is not in the Gabriel Vers 2.02 hybrid ? If you copy and paste the COD file into the shared/loader/Os java folder and use loader to upgrade the 151 file cannot persist ! This in turn will install the updated MMS file and should achieve your objective.

sorry ... could not simulate your problem on my 9500...maybe its a 9530 .151 os specific problem...
you can try using the mms file from the leaked 9500 .151 version... and see if it helps...
