If it is installed on your phone already go to options>about and it should ready .151/.186

Then go to options>advanced>applications>high light your system core then hit your BB key and choose modules. scroll down the list and you should see 5.0 files

what happens if i update the blackberry s/mime email library and the blackberry fast predictive input method library...now its asking if i wanna do that...help me out bryan...thanks...

Did you shrink when installing? Is it asking you this once you opened DM?

no, i didnt shrink...when my dm finally recognized my storm, it asked me this...

Yeah that's the one. I haven't been able to do a 3rd party back up with any of the 5.0s.



Its possible its an application causing it too. I do know of others with the same problem. I haven't really tried to fix it.

Navigate to your OS folder on your PC

C.>program files>common files>research in motion>shared>loader files> then choose to rename your OS folder and just put the letter A at the end and see if it stops asking

Shrunk, installed, and so far all is PERFECT. I'm certain this will be the GOLD KEY os / hybrid. Thank you BBC !! :hail:

i remember having to do this with the 7.1.2 when it was asking for a core update...im assuming i should just cancel if it pops up again...

Yeah you can before putting on the A I would get that all the time. I started clicking OK then looking at the details and nothing was every changing but it would still ask all the time. Dang DM glitches :banghead:

I know you will :fing02: it truly is some fine work on BBCs part :35: It made me regret giving up my Storm for the Tour and that is saying a lot.

1. Some of the differences include fast browser, quicker accelerometer, better memory life and improved battery life to name a few.
2. My phone does not sit well with Lyrics hybrid so I cannot comment on this
3. When going from one hybrid to another the best practice is to wipe first than install.

Does anyone have another link for the Base .151 OS the link that is supplied in the first thread does not seem to work for me.
