Thread: BBCrackman's V7.1.4 -.151 for 9530

I deleted OS 5 from the pc, yes. I did not wipe the phone.
it is running fine...

Currently using this hybrid and so far so good. I'll report back.

Doesn't sound like you got OS 5.0 off your phone. Go to Options > About and check what version you have.

It says .151.....

which 5.0 files are used in this hybrid?

Over 100 files are from 5.0 but from the Bold 5.0, not 5.0 leak for the Storm. BBC has not released that version yet.

I'm sorry I should have been more specific. Are they the 5.0.130 for the bold files?

hey everyone. so im having a few problems installing the hybrid...my phone currently reads v.4.7.0.148 (platform 4.0.0.181) and everytime i try to install .151 it says no new updates available for my storm. and after installing the bbcrackman hybrid to my computer it still doesnt recognize anything. it asks me to stay with the current .148 or downgrade to .75 or whatever. what should i do?

Okay no worries..

check this for me c: program files > common files > research in motion > apploader - at the very bottom if there is a file called "vendor" please delete it and restart your computer

than follow that path again and click on the loader.exe (little phone icon) and load your os that way.

If you have any problems just re post

oh wait a minute...Is it saying downgrade then click yes. this os has 1 or 2 files from .132 so apploader calls it a downgrade

actually, i got rid of the vendor file and now .151 shows up in the listing. should i install .151 then install the bbcrackman hybrid after?

If you followed the instructions for the hybrid correctly that should be it.

In apploader if you click on the details button it should pool a list and show you some 5.0 files on the right hand side.

i don't think I installed the bbcrackman right because now i have .151 but no platform 5. I installed the file in the shared folder where it told me to but no downgrade to .132. any ideas? thanks for the vendor tip by the way, i feel stupid for not knowing that haha.

no it's not a downgrade to .132 but apploader see's the older files and throws up a red flag!

go ahead and load it on your device (click yes to downgrade). when finished it will say .151/.186. It doesn't have the 5.0 radio file.

on you device follow this options > advance > applications > BB menu button > modules - the list will show you what files came from which os. IF you see nothing but .151 files the hybrid didn't install but it sounds like you've done everything correctly so you will see LOTS OF 5.0.0.100 files in there.

Make sure you do 3 60 second battery pulls and enjoy your new os
