Thread: BBCrackman's V7.1.4 -.151 for 9530

This really is a noob question sry... But i tried to install V7 and it seemed ok and all but when i was done and checked the the "About" my storm still says V4.7.0.151.

Should it say V7.XXX or did i just install it wrong

Welcome tp BBOS CAEM! There is no such thing as noon question here. Ask anything you want. IF you installed V7, the version number is 4.7.0.151 so it looks like your good to go.

Alrighty then...so, I've pretty much loaded every BBOS OS's that have come out. They are usually great for about 24-48 hours and then it's true head starts to show. Don't get me wrong...I'm not say they sucked, but I'm saying that once they settled into the phone, they weren't all THAT wonderful...they were better than the previous update, but not "totally awesome". Granted, everybody's phone reacts different...I know this.

Now, I've been running this update since Saturday and I have to say my phone REALLY likes this one. Very little memory loss throughout the day...kinda looks like the phone FINALLY got laid and is now just wizzing along. LOL

Glad to hear it T and never feel bad about giving an honest opinion at BBOS, even if it is of the man himself

Runs great but had to swap radio with 132. 132 signal is much better on my phone.

Glad to hear it this is one more testimonial I will add to my bbc alter. The man is a hybrid genius that is for sure

Well since I got my replacement Storm on Wednesday I have been really twitching for a hybrid so I am going to just run BBCrackman since his hybrids are what brought me to my favorite spot on the internet. As for 5.0.0.140 I can certainly wait for S2 to arrive and not risk the ire of RIM or another brick(ed storm) in the wall. Just another brick(ed storm in the wall). Hey teacher . . .

I can't download the file...is the server down? Or was the file just taken off...any idea when it will be back up?

Welcome to BlackberryOS. We just had to remove the BBM 5.0 files from the server. It looks like you've stumbled upon a broke link for the file. I know we were moving a lot of files around yesterday. I'll see if I can get it working for you. And thanks for letting us know.

ok I had bbc's version then went to OS 5 and didnt like it.
So I downgraded to .151 and then installed bbc version here but when i went to install it, it said "no changes made"
does that mean somehow bbc version is installed?
I am sooo confused!!!! mfg:

When you went to install it on your computer or your phone? Did you uninstall OS 5.0 and wipe your device?
