Thread: 7.1.3 or beta 6

I'm running OOAK's Hybrid for 151. I have never run another hybrid version. Is it better to cheat and try out another hybrid, ie. BBC? Please advise. I can not wait for a late night hook up.

I've always run BBC hybrids but running beta 6 right now. Couldn't get a answer if V7.1.30 worked with .151 when it leaked, so went with beta6

It works really well for many people. The only thing you would need to do is copy .151 radio into 7.1.3 as it has .148 by default.

I will personally try all the hybrids out there just to see which one runs the best on my phone. That being said BBC has always preformed the best for me, but every phone is different and there are a lot of people that swear by OOAK and Lyridical as well. If you have the time and enjoy the process of updating (sick I know) then I would give it a shot. The worst thing that can happen is that is doesn't run good and you go back to the previous hybrid you are running

Actually I think tomorrow will be a big dilemma.
Lyricidal is upgrading hia hybrid and Crackman might come out with v8.
Personally I am so happy with this Lyricidal hybrid, I think I'm staying with it and will just upgrade. Seriously I can't imagine an os running any better than this one.

This is going to be a serious night for hybrids I guess, because .151 is already a strong build by itself and now these guys are making it totally off the chain. Man forget a tour give me my storm now

I've had .151 on my phone since it dropped. My memory never drops below 49 and my battery last all day with no problem now. No way i'm trading that for a hybrid. This OS is by far the best yet.

I feel ya, but the accelerometer is my only problem it’s just to slow but like you said as far as the build itself is concerned you’re right I wouldn’t trade either

I might try it only if I hear rave reviews from people that were very happy with .151. The thing I don't get is how are these guys going to make this better? Like Awill300 said the accelerometer is the only thing that lacks in this OS. The memory is awesome the battery is good and everything is running so smooth. What else is there?

I bet you could do this-----take a copy of the radio file from .151 and set it aside in a diff folder on your desktop---install bbcrackman. After installation, copy the radio file back into the correct folder. Now you will have.151 with crackman with the newest radio file that is intact.

I use .90 and I had to copy the radio file into the proper folder AFTER I installed bbcrackman.

You shouldnt have the color banding if you do this correctly.

Try out both of them and see which one treats your phone the nicest. Remember each phone will react diffirently. for me I don't know if I can step away from the beta 6 it is doing so well. But I will try the BBcrackman 7.1.4. in the near future.

It has 2 132 files and 1 148 file and the rest are 5.0 and 151

I counted 7 .148 files and zero .132 files. I don't even know how that will effect the running of my phone. I'm just looking for the best program. Have you tried Lyricidal's to compare the two?

Nope to be honest I haven't tried Lyricidal newest one only for the fact that my new Tour is coming Wed and I am lazy :lmao:

Which V did you download? cause those file counts aren't correct on the new one

Hmm I didn't bother to look at the files on that one. But the newest one (just released tonight) has been worked and tweaked even more. Since BBC didn't have time with 7.1.4 when .151 dropped the same day. LOL
