What tool is used to edit/modify COD or SFI files

Here's a question for the BB specialists.. specially Hybrid specialists...

what tool do you use to edit/modify COD or SFI files..??

I don't believe that you can modify COD files. As for SFI files I will leave that to the master of masters to address :)

You can modify cod files, but you would need a decompiler first.

which essentially means... building hybrids would mean selecting right number of relevant files from each os... and putting them together in the most suitable ratio... :)
i'm almost sure there is some editing or modification done... !!!
i just want to know if they use any tool ... :D

i know that the ALX files are very similar to XML... :)
not sure how to decompile COD or SFI files...

I would recommend not manipulating the cod files or the sfi. It would only cause problems.

Yes, they can be modified. But I think from what I have read, they will not load to a device. The digital signatures of the files prevent modified files from being recognized through DM loader. I think?

You are correct Shanepark, if you decompile the cod you corrupt the digital sig and therefore they would not be allowed to load to the device. Hence problems!

there is also a checksum file issue that needs to be decrypted. Not all lines of code have a valid checksum. Why? this is where the encryption comes in

tried working on this a couple years ago and trust me it has only gotten better

the digital sig can be recreated

that wold explain why, when I tried to change, (read delete) the shutter sound from the camera .cod file, it wouldn't load, and reverted to the earlier file.Hmmmm, gotta work on it s'more....
