E you probably know better but does he have to alter his APN. If I recall each time he uses a program that requires BIS it will drop to edge unless some setting is changed.

yes sir you are correct, current best apn for tmobile is epc.tmobile.com,

    settings are:
    APN settings Enabled
    apn: epc.tmobile.com
apn authentication enabled. do not checkmark
    username: leave it blank
    password: leave it blank

if that doesnt work try with wap.voicestream.com as the apn

The APN with epc seems to be faster but when I don't have it checked my apps don't work. And EDGE still drops when sending mms but the pic goes through.

When it is not checked it still drops to edge when sending a mms but it works. So I guess that is good.

I'm tired, Thanks for everyone's help. I will fight with it more tomorrow!

Ok, So I think it is a service book issue.
I recieved a text from a friend with a pic attached to it. I tried to download the pic like usually and it said "Request cannot be completed. Service book information not found"

I resent my service books and reloaded the service book ipd. Any ideas why this is happnening now? It never happened before when I ran the 90 code.

Out of curiousity, why would loading the service books from the IPD file not work?

I'm trying to find out if the new .151 os update is supporting EDGE. Consistently. I have the .90 radio but the reboots suck. I can't use my media player to listen to music because it reboots. As far as daily use. Minus the media player. My storm works well. Anybody know if. .151 is good for EDGE? I'd like to upgrade and cont my use of bbcrackman 7 update 2. I'd really love to drop the .90 radio code, however it is great for EDGE. Need some opinions...

From what I have read and from other gsm users, .90 radio has been really good for gsm. But as you know, each storm reacts differently to every os. A lot of people had issues with .90 radio with VSOD and random reboots. I would encourage you to try .151 radio as people say that its really good as well for 9530 gsm side. Keep us posted and let us know the progress. Good luck.
