151 and hybrid questions?

Do the .148 files slow the phone down or something? And what curtcrack88 said, I'm interested to know if that's possible too. :confused:

I uploaded 151 to my storm and bricked my device... has anyone else had problems? :eek:

Did you wipe before installing on your phone? If not what OS were you trying to load it over? Did you delete the vendor file before installing?

I wiped before I tried to install OS 4.7 v151... Yes I did delete the vendor file...

Sounds like you might have a corrupted file. i would delete the os and re download it

Did you add your third party apps back in on the install or are you just doing .151 all by itself.

Yes that is normal. V7.1.3 was created before we had .151 for the 9530. So its a combo of .148/ .151(9500) and 5.0.0.100 (bold).

If you want to remove the .148 files you could load a straight .151(9530) and add lyr's 5.0 files.
I'm running straight .151 and more than happy just as quick if not faster then V7.1.3. I'm staying put until bbcrackman produces something new

Using the updated version of shrink...couldnt you just hit add all 5.0 files?? using a bbc hybrid..because that is something I did do..however it was scrolling with those green bars for quite sometime and i clicked on something else and stopped it so im not sure if it finished doing what it was supposed to do.

You should be able too....idk for sure I personally don't use shrink but that sounds right if there is the option.

Give it a try and please let us know

Honestly I MIGHT try it BUT if its true what Bryan said about waiting until tonight because BBC has something in store for us then I wont be doing it

I loaded the .151 on my Storm and everything seemed to work fine for a day and then I could no longer send or receive MMS messages on my phone. According to Blackberry's website, the cause was most likely a corrupted service book. So I wiped and reloaded my phone with .151 again on Saturday and everything worked fine after the process was complete. Then again yesterday I started having the same issue with the MMS messages. I wiped and reloaded my phone with Crackman's last hybrid using the .148 base and everything is working fine again. I like the .151 load, but can't seem to figure out why the MMS would work initially only to stop working after less than 24 hours after loading. Any ideas from our wonderful group here?

I am testing my new OS as we speak so hopefully we can help your issue. I posted concerning your issue on the other thread you posted to. I'll check in with you in the 9530 OS .151 findings and fixes OP.
Hang with us. I'm sure we can resolve this. Just may take a day or so.
