Looks like Shrink a OS works very well with this release.

Testing six units in all. Three units are 9530's and 3 units are 9500's. 2 of the units were loaded shrinking the OS with Shrink a OS and they are both running very strong still. The 9530 has had 0 mem loss and the 9500 less than 1/8 Mb! Both are still in the 46 MB range and running strong, fully loaded!

Looks like we may have a winner on this OS.

Been running this OS for 8hrs and not one bit of memory loss. Only down 25% battery as well! This one seems really stable. I look forward to seeing how it hold up to a full day of heavy use.

I agree this one is really good. The accelerometer is a little slow but beyond that must say RIM is moving in the right direction.

I hope it is, I like Blackberry a lot and i love my storm, but i am looking off to the side at those other OS's and I'm not talking about just flick scrolling!! Those little mini 3d virtual customizable home screens and what not are really looking sweet. i just feel that if i'm paying for virtually the same hardware e.i. storm 2, i sorta want the best UI for it!! love blackberry though and i hope they win me over in the end!!

I don't agree with the browser speed being quicker. I feel it is the same. I'm still using Opera as my main browser at is REALLY fast.

I don't think the 4.7 browser will ever be faster then opera mini but it's faster then .148

    Hi, The.Perfect.Storm.

Thanks for this, with this review we have some lights about this release.

I started testing yesterday, but I currently use my Storm with GSM, and I need use .90 radio, and the phone was nuked

So, be carefull if you decide change the radio file, I had to come back to .148 with my .90 radio file

yes I've heard it can take 24-36 hours for the OS to set in. Why I'm not quit sure, just relaying what I have heard.
