Thread: 9530 4.7.0.151 Findings and Fixes

Ok guys, I've had .151 installed since about 11am. So far the memory is the most stable i've seen yet. The speed is nice. But it's only 6:30 and i've only had it for about 8 hours. So, I will have a more accurate review in a day or so once the OS has settled in. (not that anybody takes my opinion seriously anyway)

I haven't loaded .151 yet so everything I read is important. Keep up the good work.

OK, so the big question here is.....why wasn't this the official from Verizon? It seems pretty unanimous that everyone likes this build more than .148.

I think it was because VZW was concerned with the theme incompatibility. :bsflag:

I have asked this myself over and over. Another thing is why in the world was vzw testing .148 with wonderful .220 being on the shelf collecting dust??? :banghead:

I've often thought about that Olta and the thing I could come up with is that VZW needed a MR3.

So I've been running .151 since it came out and it is incredible. My memory is hands down the most stable it has ever been. I have had minimal leak. I have not performed a reset since I downloaded it and I am still sitting at around 30 mbs. (start up at 42 on Thursday) As everyone else has stated y vzw did not release this officially is a complete mystery. Officially loving the storm for the first time since Nov 21st

I downloaded .151 48 hours ago. It all went very smoothly, with no issues at all. (I didn't even have to PM Bryan or Laney) (This was my first non-Verizon update!) I can't believe how easy it was! Thanks mostly because of this great site and all the very helpful people here. I've been reading and learning a ton!

So after I downloaded I did the 3 60sec. battery pulls and I was off. This OS is super fast on my Storm. I love the transitions! I really like the change in the phone contact list! The lack of color banding is outstanding! Basically I've had no issues at all! Not a hiccup! It's almost hard to believe! This OS is so much better than .148! Twenty-four hours ago I did my last battery pull, and rebooted at 49MB of memory. I'm sitting here 24 hours later, with 44.5MB of memory! Virtually no memory leak! I have about 15 apps. and 2 themes loaded! This is the best my memory has ever been.

Thanks again to all the great people here at BBOS and all the people who posted before me, concerning this OS, it made me HAVE to download it!

If your still on the fence about downloading this, don't hesitate, it's Great!!!!
