You dont have to go anywhere but here
BBOS 3rd Party Apps
WoohooI just upgraded from .99 to .109 and I am lovin' it! Seems faster all around. I am noticing two things though that RIM hopefully will work on!
1. Memory leak seems to be a bit more in .109 than in .99 when the phone's (native) lock is on. After the upgrade (and a battery pull) I was at 47MB free. After doing a few things, I went down to 37MB. Ok. I put the lock on for 1/2 hour (with the BB doing NOTHING of course), and when I unlocked it, it was at 31MB. Strange, huh? I am not running any other apps in the background, and memory cleaning is not enabled automatically. I also in that time had NO incoming e-mails or messages. So, I strongly suspect the lock routine is eating memory.
2. Locking the phone does take 1-2 seconds longer than in v.99, which for mine now takes approx. 3-4 seconds to lock. HOWEVER, UNlocking is MUCH faster I've noticed (only about 1 sec, which is awesome!).
I also want to note that I used BBFileScout to delete all the extraneous (previously not deleteable) pre-installed wallpaper files, sound files and music, which freed up lots of memory. If you haven't tried BBFileScout, it's definitely worth it.
glad you like it...welcome to the forum Stormy
