SureType and .151

Maybe this is just me but ever since I've been running a version of .151 whether it be BBCMv7 or OOAKPCs Hybrid, my SureType has been acting really strange. For instance... when I go to type the word "My" it comes out "Mt". There are some other common words that it changes for me.... this has gotten to be very annoying.

I was wondering which file, if any, determines how the phone learns words in SureType? I have always been under the impression that the phone would learn more, the more I typed. Thus changing the first word to the most used word. Lately it hasn't done this.

Is there some sort of file I need to delete from my backup? Or can this be changed in the OS somewhere?

i have noticed this and it is becoming very annoying for me too....way to many typo's.....actually glad to see it is not only me

I am also experiencing far more typos then ever before, is there a way to clear the learned words and start the learning process over so to speak?

Man you guys ain't kiddin! I get the same thing and also it lags and hangs for so long that by the time I type out some 4-5 letter words it can't catch up and leaves out letters, then I have to delete and start over again. Thought it was just my phone cuz han't heard anyone else complain. I sure hope there is a fix, cuz honestly v7.1 is the best hybrid I have used but this one issue is enough to make me want to switch back.

Ok now I feel better. I was starting to think it was me. I first noticed it on .122 last week or so when I downgraded for a return.

So it looks like we traded typing lag for typo's...thanks rim :(

Does everyone else have the same amount of records showing for their autotext? Go to Back/Restore> Advanced and make sure your device is plugged in. I would like to know if 115 is the norm.

I am running with BBCMv7 with 115 AutoText Records Showing...

i only have 108 why can't t just learn from what you type sheesh lol

Here's what Nikki just taught me. If you only look at the keyboard and not the screen sure type works great. Within in about 5 minutes I was trying very fast. Just thought I would throw that out there for y'all.

apparently I don't have a private teacher :angryfire: but I agree I never could use suretype until Nikki gave me the same tip.
