Ok I found a fix!

Just go to your Desktop Manager>Backup/Restore>Advanced> Scroll to your "Auto Text">Then press the "Clear" button. It helped my device out a lot. It types faster and more accurate now.

Make sure you only clear the "Auto Text" one. I recommend making a backup of the device before trying this. Good Luck and I hope this helps!

thanks for the tip. Do you find it make a difference in landscape mode as well.

just out of curiousity.....does it have anything to do with it being .151? wasn't that built for the 9500

it's not specific to .151 i've change os's a couple times over the last week and it's been present in all of these; .122 / .148 / V7.1.2

Yea and no, I would lean towards no, essentially the 9500 and 9530 are basically identical besides the .sfi (radio) file in the OS. Other then that not many differences if any at all. I may be wrong but then again I havent paid attention if 9500 users are experiencing this problem at:

it was never present when i had .148....but as we know no 2 phones are alike

This didn't work for me. I'm still getting Mt. I battery pulled to.

We will definitely look into this further and let you know if we come up with any bright ideas.

i don't know....hopefully it gets resolved on the next hybrid or i'm going back to .148

no if you've tried freebirds suggetion then your up to date. Its' unclear why so many people are having this issue. It's not even clear when we developed it, i've seen it on a few os's over the past week and some are saying it's just within the last few updates.

hey man if your feeling adventurous you could try d/l .148 and taking the keyboard files from it and overwriting into your hybrid.

I think there are 2 .cod files that are for the keyboard

maybe i'll try it if i can figure it out

it's easy enough to do;

d/l .148 open the java folder and grab the files that say keyboard or I think they are virtual keyboard .cod's

find them and cut adn paste into your hybrids java and then re run apploader.

if your familiar with crackutil it's another program you could use to swap the files

Wow. This is another example of two phones and two different results. No I don't have any more ideas but I'll let you know if something comes up.

Oh and I don't think this issue is tied to the keyboard files in the OS like was suggested. This is an auto text error. I actually like the keyboard, its very responsive now in both modes.

I am working on this and will be loading v7.1.3 to test and make sure it is corrected. If so, I will post the updated hybrid.

Put "Mt" in Autocorrect to autocorrect to "my". Also, disable "spell check as you go" but leave "spell check before sending". That should speed things up a bit until the problem is corrected.

Yeah I did that at first. It just bothers me because it's not right and it should be. I have OCD and I can't help. I appreciate the tip though.

Ever since I cleared the records for my autotext I haven't had a problem at all. :boggled:
