SMC, I don't know if this will help...but one of the later official builds for 9500 is a multilanguage....I don't remember which one though and don't know if it has chinese.

for those involved don't use .114 yikes!

for those looking for "greek" just reload .148 or .148/V7.1.X and click on input support in apploader it's there as part of .148

"chinese" on the other hand is a little harder..I will try and find a newer build with chinese included but .114 didn't work.

I will try again later this week..

No, thanks JL I might have a look tomorow but as of right now I have V7.1.3/181 with greek input up and running

Thank you for your hard working. As I know, all other OS with Chinese or East Asia language input (not just fond) support are .86/113, or 9500_omadrmEastAsia_PBr4.7.0_rel172_PL4.0.0.153_A4 .7.0.122.exe (you can download it from blackberry.com (Hongkong CSL ), etc. I want to build my own hybid with related language input support with Build A Hybrid, but I couldn't see any language package select feature on it. (I'm wondering why there is no such Hybrid released on the market.) Regarding 114, I think maybe we missed copying some files which should recogenize or suppot languages. Since I know little about software programming, I just guess. Anyhow, let's keep trying.

I really liked .122 so I think we would have better luck making it work by pulling files from .122 rather than .114.....114 was a nightmare Would you like me to see and try to pull files from .122 and upload to mega?

.114 was a nightmare lol I don't think we missed anything. I took exactly the same files as I used from .109
only difference is Arabic input was new in .114

i reloaded .148 and V7.1.2 I see the greek input is available in apploader but choose it and click next and it says application greek unavailble because application net.rim.latform.lang.el is unavailable. :17: so i guess i am missing something...oh well back to .148 and see if it lets me use it...

the only news I have is not yet lol

engaget just reported that it will becoming out soon. I breifly read the article but it said something about the storm finally getting released for some asian carrier and it will support a whole bunch of languages that they currently dont offer.

we'll have to keep looking...If it's in english I'll be able to pull the files and work on it

how's your addition going? did you get the .109 files copied/pasted yet?

still haven't had a chance to really go through it...I will download .109 today and install and see if i can find the files...i know that i should be looking a "crypto" what else should i be looking for?

And then under that you'll see 16 other file with the same name ending in __ca.cod / __pl.cod.... Grab them all.

Now you could shrink it down if you don't use things like flicker and msn and docs to go.

Its a big file its pretty much as big as a normal java folder. but when your finished loading the setup wizard wipes off the languages you don't use.

When all said and down it does take up a little app memory but not much.

I am installing .109 now...just noticed in the language setup in the first step...there is no greek listed, but then when it ask country you are in it lists Greece...just wondering if that matters?

FINALLY!!!!!!! I got the greek input...yeehaw!!!!
Jut lost bbm must not have checked it when I installed the "hybrid" always fun and excitement
Thanks to everyone for all your help...my problem was when adding in the language input I had forgotten to do the steps outlined on the first page of the thread. Needed the 3 files forgot who gave us that once I did that it was smooth sailing

Good to hear. I was watching this from the sidelines and saw the massive effort that went into this. Congrats to all that helped out!
