So clearly have Italian and Greek language support I just can not put a real word together.

Cruz I've found keyboard input settings but not output like you suggested.

Not a problem bro, it can be done. Your going in the right direction with the multi-language pack from the carrier. I looked into this earlier in the thread. The last person it partially worked for was in China, loaded the language pack while in country, then used a 3rd party trial translation app to get it done.
There is no doubt in my mind, some interprising individual out there can't make it happen. I would enlist the help of BBCM, should he be interested, as it will take the manipulation and intergration of cod's from different OS's.

The problem is two fold, one lies with the device recognizing the input from the keyboard as Chinese characters. When that hurdle is cleared we can tackle the SMS side of the problem.

Okay that makes sense. I'm confident that this is Greek. The sure type even auto corrected the words. I used google translate to make a sentence.

Working progress. It'll have to wait until later though.

Solution : Let'em learn English! 让他们学习英语! feeling somewhat independent as of late.

no I wouldn't say that. I do have greek and several others working though . My smart ass wife just set my phone to dutch so I have to wipe and redo a few things at:

I'll work on it some more tomorrow. I need to find a copy of 4.7.0.114 and I should be able to add chinese.

I have greek up and running using 4.7.0.109....

buuuuutt...

It's part of a package so you need to grab every language file. If you want to get up and running tonight I'll show you what you need and you can test for yourself.

I have every language loaded and I booted with 27mb on 148/181! so it's a BIG file. You can trim the fat on install though.

Wish I could do it tonight but I am mobile...I think I need to reinstall BBCM v7 and then add the language files...cuz I try add the languages and it says missing net.rim.platform.lang.el but thanks anyway...

yeah It's a full reinstall for sure about it works.. I'm looking at .114 right now and will see what other languages are there. I"m going to reinstall .109 right now and just select one or two languages and see what the impact is on memory.

I followed the instruction to copy all the Chinese files from 114 to 148, but still failed. It has Chinese fonds for display, but no input support, so I can't type in Chinese. How about your test? Maybe I did sth. wrong somewhere?

same here .114 just bricked my phone to...I'll try again.

what other os have you seen chinese on?
