Make sure you tell us which os you used for the Greek. I was looking through .148 and it appears to have chinese. Idk I always remove the other languages before I load the new leaks :D

these 2 below are really important- locate them first if you can -

net_rim_tid_dynamic_ling_data_russian_45k_2.cod

net_rim_tid_dynamic_ling_data_russian_eg_ltr.cod

If you dont use things like yahoo and icq you can choose not to copy those .cod files


3. now open the java folder of the "target os" and paste the language supported files. click yes to overwrite.

go back to shared and right click on the entire "last known os" ie 9530_4.7.0.114_pl........cut it to your desktop. this way you can save it for later
now go to C: control panel add/delete programs and remove "last known from PC.
now just to be sure go back to the shared folder and make sure there is only your "target os in this folder

4. Run apploader and in the window ensure your added language support is in the list of modules and click the box beside it

Very glad to read it! Thanks. I will try it, but I have one question:how can I find out which file belong to 'input support file'? OS4.7.148 has Chinese fond----only for display purpose, you can't type in Chinese. Actually 114 has 'complete' packages for display and typing, including Greek.

either i am crazy or i looking in the wrong place for these files...I need a timeout away from it for a few hours then i can come at it again with renewed vigor.
there are zero gr.cod files in the OS's i downloaded. I can't even find all the ru.cod files listed above. I even downloaded 9500 .141 to see if i was able to locate it there, but nothing. (i hit the link for voda 9500 greece which was .100) but it redirected me to 9500 .141. as i walk away slowly from my computer so i don't break it :):cussing:
I appreciate all the help and i will be back at it at some point in the next day or so...:newbie:i know but don't :ban:

Go to C:>program files>common files>research in motion>shared>loader files>java and look for them in that folder of the os that you will pull them from...it needs to be a multilanguage OS. :)

Im back is it possible that it is gl=greek language and not gr=greek? I have found gl.cod in both ALLLang. OS's? :06:

It is very possible... I would suggest creating a new folder and copying all those cods in there so you would have a back up. :)

okay so I think I've figured it out sort of...not a specific language but a mutli-language hybrid...

I have not loaded it onto the device but apploader shows my next update to support several languages including chinese, greek, portuguese, german, italian, french, hungarian, dutch, czech,.......

I dont know whats invovled with uploading my version but I will look into it..

so here's what I did;

downloaded 4.7.0.109__9530 and I went through and grabbed "every" file that was language supportive
ie, net_rim_bb_crypto_resource__ru.cod ---- I grabbed ALL lang. _ca.cod /_cs.cod/ _nl.cod..

created my folder cut it to desktop

deleted every os on my PC and redownloaded a fresh .148 and replaced the java with my multi-lang java and fired up apploader and I'm looking at a multilanguage hybrid of .148/.109 language files.

It looks good to go guys/gals. That being said if you've seen your language support before it should be here. If it worked on .109 it'll work on .148

try for yourself if you can't wait until I figure out how to share my file..

Do you remember which last OS had the greek language? I could try and download it, then put files on mega for you... :)

it looks like i found it i think eu.cod...BUT it says i missing a file called net.rim.platform.lang.el... i am going reinstall .90 and see if i can find that...
so to answer the question i think .90 has the and so does .109

Lyric thinks the last OS with greek was .114. However, he was not 100% sure.

OK, great...so you can either pull those files from .90 or .109... and make sure you copy ALL files over that have the eu in them...and also the platform ones ;)

SoRRy for all the hassel...but you guys are great... ALL OF YOU...the reason i dont just replace java from one of the mulit's is i have BBCM v7.2 on so i dont wanna mess with that, but i guess i am trying to do too much...thanks again...I will check back in a few hours...again 1 million thanks...

You actually don't replace the javas...you just add them, since BBCM does not have greek. ;)
